Chapter 29: Not begging, but warning
John Lopez had intended to visit his second sister today, but upon arriving at the living room, he was taken aback by the sight of Queenie sitting on the sofa, clearly agitated.
"What's wrong, sister?" John inquired, his brow furrowing.
Queenie, still fuming, waved her phone in front of him, playing a video with a look of deep frustration. "It's all about that ungrateful Gary," she said, her tone sharp and vexed.
John's gaze darkened as he watched the video. It was clear that things had escalated.
After a moment of silence, John spoke, his voice low but firm. "Sister, don't worry. I will solve it."
Queenie, her expression mixed with concern and suspicion, raised an eyebrow. "Are you going to find Duke of Southern River?"
John gave a cold sneer, shaking his head. "No need."
With that, he turned and strode out of Greenland Villa, his steps resolute. Queenie, still uneasy, quickly dialed Alice Moon's number.
Alice, a bit confused by the late call, picked up on the other end. "Sister, why are you calling me at this time?"
