An unexpected encounter with Yukino at the convenience store was hardly worth mentioning.
For Ren, it was just a fleeting moment. Without lingering emotions, he quickly forgot the incident and continued his journey to Ohananomitsu High School.
The school gate stood firm, untouched by the chaos beyond. Ren showed his ID to the security.
With a nod from the security, Ren strode in, heading straight to the parking area where several buses were neatly lined up.
"Rokuhara-senpai, good morning!"
A shy voice greeted him as he approached one of the buses.
A girl with long, dark blue hair parted into three bangs and brown eyes, Sonoda Umi, his junior and the ace of the Archery Club, stood near the bus door.
"I’m not late, am I, Umi?"
"Senpai, you’re the last one. I almost thought you weren’t coming. Your habit of being late hasn’t changed."
"Thanks for the compliment."
"That wasn’t a compliment, Senpai."
Compared to her strict discipline, Umi could only sigh in resignation at Ren’s carefree attitude.
