Chapter 130: Hex of the Jinxed Thread
Before Yukino could even reply, Ren confidently laid out his speculation.
"Let me guess, a female student asked the Service Club for help in finding out my ideal type of woman, right? In fact, it wouldn't be surprising if she also hopes the Service Club will act as a matchmaker to set us up."
'Putting aside his twisted personality, this guy is surprisingly good at deducing things.'
Hachiman stared at Ren in horror, feeling a chill run down his spine at how the guy could guess the truth with so little information.
On the other hand, Yukino pursed her lips, looking displeased that her plan had been exposed even before she had a chance to explain anything.
Crossing her legs, clad in black knee-high socks, Yukino said in a complimentary yet sarcastic tone.
"Your guess is quite accurate, Rokuhara-kun. Not bad reasoning for someone ranked seventy-something."
"..."
The faint smile that had graced Ren's face vanished instantly upon hearing Yukino's unprovoked mockery. Although he knew the girl had a sharp and venomous tongue, that wasn't a justification for insulting others without a clear reason.
Ren wasn't a soft-hearted person to begin with. Fight evil with greater evil, that was one of his mottos.
"Rank ten in the exams? What's so great about that?" He said with a dismissive tone. "There are several hidden geniuses in this school who choose to keep a low profile because they want to live a peaceful life or due to other emotional issues. Don't be too proud of an achievement that's not even worth mentioning."
