"Nino-san, is this really necessary? I look like a professional stalker." Ren complained, standing at the apartment entrance wearing a large black mask and a fedora that covered most of his face.
With an impatient expression, Nino folded her arms across her chest.
"Of course, it's necessary! This is absolutely essential, Rokuhara. Don't you understand the situation? What if someone sees you walking with Itsuki in public? If the scandal of Itsuki being pregnant by her student becomes public knowledge, her hard-earned career as a teacher will be ruined!"
Standing beside Nino, Miku chimed in with a soft, soothing voice. "Ren-kun, please be patient for a little while. Once we arrive at the cemetery, you can take off your disguise. This is for the common good."
Her gaze was full of understanding, as if she comprehended Ren's discomfort.
Itsuki stood by Ren's side, holding his arm tightly, and looked up at Nino with a pout.
"Nino, I think this is a bit much. Tokyo is vast, it's unlikely that my hubby and I will run into students from the school where I teach."
Seeing Itsuki defend him, Nino rolled her eyes dramatically.
"Oh, Itsuki. Your brain is completely filled with love, your critical thinking skills have become dull!"
"I haven't!" Itsuki retorted, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment, even though she wasn't entirely convinced by her own words.
