Chapter 69: Going to London
The evening began to creep in, painting the sky with a warm orange hue. In front of an apartment building, Ren stood with a suitcase full of clothes in one hand. Gently, he held Itsuki's other hand, helping her walk slowly.
"Be careful with your steps." He said with concern.
Itsuki smiled, one hand supporting her swollen belly, now in its eighth month. Her steps were slow but steady, guided by Ren, who remained faithfully by her side.
In front of the building, a sleek black car was waiting. Hayasaka, with a professional demeanor, stood by the open door. As soon as she saw them, she quickly rushed to take the suitcase from Ren's hand.
"Let me handle that, Ren-sama."
Then, Hayasaka placed the suitcase in the trunk.
Meanwhile, Ren helped Itsuki into the car, making sure she was seated comfortably before he got in and sat beside her. Hayasaka took her place behind the wheel, and the car drove off toward the apartment where Nino and Miku lived.
Inside the smoothly moving car, Itsuki let out a sigh as she rubbed her swollen belly.
"Being a pregnant woman is not easy. Now I understand what my mother went through when she was carrying the five of us. It must have been much harder than what I'm experiencing now."
She paused for a moment, her eyes gazing out the window. "She had to take care of herself because that trash of a father left as soon as he found out she was pregnant with quintuplets."
Her voice trembled slightly. Imagining her mother's struggle, carrying five children alone, giving birth to them, and raising them without a partner's support, weighed heavily on her heart.
