Chapter 405: Princess Confront Silviana
Silviana happened to be in Adam’s mansion. She had been staying around the estate ever since the birthday celebration at the hotel.
She happened to be sitting behind the desk in Adam’s private study.
Adam wasn’t home. He was always at the Kings Hotel, taking care of business and staying away from the house for days at a time.
He doesn’t look like someone who has a mansion, his home is his hotel..
Someone knocked twice on the door.
"Yes... come in," she said, her tone short and firm.
Sir Richard walked into the room and bowed his head respectfully.
"What is it, Richard?" she asked, her glasses focused entirely on her flat monitor screen. She was watching a security surveillance video while gently tapping her long nails on the executive table.
"Princess Kings is here. She is requesting an immediate audience with you."
"Inform her that I’m currently busy," Silviana said, not bothering to lift her eyes from the glowing screen.
Richard bowed again and left the office, closing the door softly behind him.
Silviana continued staring at the security footage, her finger tracing a line across the desk.
Minutes later, the study door slammed open without even a knock, the frame rattling against the wall.
Silviana slowly looked up from her table.
Electric-blue glowing eyes were staring right at her from across the threshold.
And she definitely wasn’t looking happy.
Despite the thick, heavy aura radiating from the Alpha standing right in front of her table, Silviana remained remarkably calm.
She adjusted her posture in her leather office chair, folded her hands, and focused her attention directly on the Alpha.
"What do you want, Princess Kings? You cancelled your appointment with me a month ago, so we have no business together anymore," Silviana said, keeping her voice completely steady.
"What are you doing with my daughter’s medical file?" Princess glared down at the young woman, her teeth clenched tightly.
"I don’t know what you’re talking about," Silviana denied instantly, shaking her head.
"Silviana, I won’t ask you for a third time. It’s your heart I’ll be ripping out."
"Are you really going to do that? You don’t need the other version of you to do that... the heartless one. The one I was carefully nurturing, piece by piece. You used to respect me. I was your anchor when you were left all alone in the dark. Even your closest friends couldn’t get close to you back then. And then the person who made you heartless returns, and you immediately forget about the one who helped you and made me an enemy..."
She wasn’t even done talking when Princess violently smacked the heavy table away just to get closer to Silviana.
The massive desk slammed hard into the side wall, snapping completely in two with a loud crack.
The computer monitor, paper files, and everything else on the surface went flying across the room as well, shattering on the floor.
Princess was now standing inches away from Silviana.
Her razor-sharp claws sprang out, digging straight through fabric and skin into Silviana’s chest, reaching directly for her beating heart without pulling it out yet.
Silviana gasped, her chest tightening as she began choking on her own air.
"I don’t need that other side to rip your fucking heart out. One single pull and you’re gone for good. I know what you did with Faye. You made me believe that she abandoned me, but it was you who made her leave me."
Silviana looked up at Princess in pure horror. Her face was already turning a deep purple because she couldn’t breathe properly through the crushing pressure in her chest.
She desperately wondered if Princess had somehow regained all her lost memories. She hadn’t had a single therapy session with Princess for over a month and had completely stopped keeping tabs on her memory blocks.
Princess nodded her head slightly, giving her the silent assurance that what Silviana suspected was entirely true.
"You made Faye choose between me and her brother, despite knowing that she would always choose her brother in a single heartbeat. You made her erase her entire existence and her identity, and you played with her mind just so you could have Adam all to yourself. And you manipulated my own mind so you could fix what you did to your sister.... I know it all, but I didn’t say anything because I have my Faye back with me now. But now you’re trying to use my daughter to imprint on your sister..."
"It’s the only way to save her... I just want to fix everything," Silviana choked out, blood spilling over her lips as she struggled to form the words.
"I would have done that for her, but she doesn’t want it. My daughter is a baby, and you’re not going to decide who she ends up with."
Princess’s sharp claws dug deeper into the chest cavity, her fingers wrapping firmly around Silviana’s beating heart.
"If you kill me right now, your daughter won’t have a mentor to help her. She definitely won’t be able to control her dangerous habits. She’ll just become wild, just the way you were before. I’m the only one who can actually help her."
"She doesn’t need you."
"You know she does. Even you need me. Being with your mate helps, but it’s not going to last forever."
"I have been feeling fine ever since she been mine," Princess growled, her eyes flaring with bright blue light.
"That’s why I’m trying to pair her with Kiara."
"My baby girl will choose whoever she wants when she’s ready."
Princess was just about to rip Silviana’s heart straight out of her ribs when someone suddenly appeared out of nowhere behind her and injected a full syringe into her neck.
Princess’s eyes went wide for a split second before her body went completely limp, collapsing forward directly onto Silviana.
Silviana was saved at the last second by Doctor Jacqueline Brown.
Silviana was still gasping desperately for air, clutching at her ruined shirt. And Princess’s hand was still inside...
"Are you doing okay?" Jack asked, her face pale as she looked down, feeling deeply worried.
Then she realized with a shock that Princess’s hand was still lodged inside Silviana’s chest, dangerously close to her exposed heart. She immediately reached out, about to pull the limp hand straight out.
"No, no... please don’t," Silviana wheezed out. "If you pull it, my heart will follow."
"So what should I do? Should I cut her arm off?"
"No, don’t do that. Just wait a second and think."
Jack nodded quickly and closed her eyes tight, trying her best to control her frantic breathing.
Then she touched Princess’s heavy hand, concentrating all her internal energy on her own steady breathing.
The palm of her hand began to glow a deep crimson red.
She carefully controlled the rigid movement of Princess’s fingers, slowly manipulating the limb until she successfully removed the claws from Silviana’s chest, completely freeing her heart without causing further damage.
When that was finally done, she tossed Princess’s unconscious body aside onto the floor and placed her hand directly over Silviana’s torn heart.
Again, her palm glowed bright red as her healing energy worked, knitting the skin, bone, and flesh back together until Silviana’s chest was completely whole.
"Are you okay now?" Jack asked, her voice sincere and full of relief.
"I’m fine now."
Jack smiled down at Silviana, feeling a massive weight lift off her shoulders.
"Thanks for saving me, but I think you should leave right now because the anesthesia won’t last for long on an Alpha like her."
"Okay, but I’ve used up my entire energy bar just healing you."
Silviana rolled her eyes playfully, then reached up and dragged the doctor’s white coat closer to her face.
The two shared a long, deep kiss right there in the office.
Silviana emitted a warm burst of her own energy into the doctor’s mouth before pulling away, their lips barely touching.
"Out," she instructed softly.
Jack pouted her lips, giving Silviana a lingering, sad look.
"I gave you enough energy to safely get out of here. Go. I’ll see you tomorrow."
Then Jack closed her eyes, and her body instantly disappeared into thin air.
Silviana finally relaxed back in her chair, letting out a long breath.
Her eyes drifted down toward Princess, who was still lying completely unconscious on the cold floor.
She called out for Richard and explicitly ordered him to fetch a heavy silver chain and chain the powerful Alpha up securely so she could finally have a proper, uninterrupted discussion with Princess once she woke up.
