Chapter 74: Unlucky
Gu Fuqiao opened the door and saw a man with bronze skin standing at the entrance. Upon seeing her, he raised his chin and stood tall, his gaze fixed straight ahead.
Although his posture was impeccable, Gu Fuqiao couldn’t help but laugh at his stern demeanor, which was reminiscent of a young monk leaving the temple for the first time.
Hearing her laughter, the soldier glanced at Gu Fuqiao in confusion, touched his face, and asked, "Sister-in-law, is there something on my face?"
"No..." Gu Fuqiao quickly shook her head while chuckling and said, "Thank you for your trouble." With that, she motioned for Chen Bajin to join her in heading to the hospital.
This soldier’s driving skills were much less polished than Cheng Zhang’s. Watching Chen Bajin feeling nauseated from the jolts, Gu Fuqiao quickly rolled down the window, and the cold breeze that came in made Chen Bajin feel much better.
As the window went down, Gu Fuqiao glanced at the scenery outside, recognizing the route which seemed familiar; she suddenly remembered it was the way to the previous hospital, and more importantly... Ouyang Xuan worked at that hospital!
Gu Fuqiao widened her eyes and promptly asked the soldier driving, "Are we going to the Three Armies Hospital now?"
"Yes!" The soldier nodded affirmatively.
