Yu Changsheng’s eyes narrowed. He slowly raised a fist, his gaze fixed on Zhang Chengming as qi and blood surged through his arm, bulging the veins. But then, as if sensing something, he relaxed his hand, his expression becoming calm and nonchalant.

Just then, a deep voice rang out as a figure suddenly materialized, blocking Zhang Chengming’s path with an outstretched arm.

"That’s enough! Haven’t you caused enough of a disgrace?"

The voice was like a clap of Celestial Thunder, devoid of joy or anger, yet carrying an undeniable authority.

It boomed like a thunderclap, and with it, a heaven-reaching pressure erupted from the man’s body. Whether by chance or by design, it washed over Yu Changsheng.

"Elder Wang!"

Seeing the newcomer, Zhang Chengming’s face flushed with shame. He bowed his head, cupped his fists respectfully, and came back to his senses.

The newcomer was Wang Guohui, one of the elders leading the Cang Lei Sect delegation.

With Wang Guohui’s arrival, the entire crowd fell silent. The clamor died down, and a look of respect appeared on every face as they slightly lowered their heads.

Only Yu Changsheng looked up, squinting at Wang Guohui. He felt the immense pressure bearing down on him and chuckled inwardly.

Lu Ruikai nodded. He glanced back at Yu Changsheng with approval, and with a wave of his sleeve, the pressure bearing down on the young disciple vanished. He then turned to Wang Guohui with a faint smile.

"Wouldn’t you agree, Fellow Daoist Wang?"

Wang Guohui narrowed his eyes, studying Lu Ruikai for a long moment. Then, a smile naturally blossomed on his face. He nodded at Lu Ruikai and laughed heartily.

"Fellow Daoist Lu is absolutely right. Indeed, matters between the juniors should be left for them to resolve. I was merely concerned the situation would get out of hand before the Secret Realm even opens."

"It would be unfortunate if the harmony between our two sects were damaged. Beyond that, I had no other intention."

With that, Wang Guohui turned to Yu Changsheng with a look of concern. A strange glint flashed in his eyes as he asked, "Young friend, are you alright? I was a bit hasty just now. I hope I didn’t frighten you."

"I’m fine," Yu Changsheng said softly, shaking his head as he looked at Wang Guohui. He then turned toward the aggrieved and disheveled Zhang Chengming, his gaze hardening as he trailed off, "It’s just..."

Following Yu Changsheng’s gaze, Lu Ruikai also looked over at Zhang Chengming, his face expressionless.

Wang Guohui let out a soft sigh. He looked down at Zhang Chengming, a veiled look of disgust flashing in his eyes. He slapped him lightly on the head and said coolly:

"What are you standing there for? Aren’t you going to apologize? This is what you get for being so arrogant and looking down on everyone. There’s always someone better out there."

"Consider this a good lesson for you."

Hearing this, Zhang Chengming was utterly mortified. His already swollen face turned an even deeper shade of red. The strange looks from the surrounding crowd were especially unbearable for someone with such immense pride.

Being forced to apologize to Yu Changsheng in front of everyone—even though he was in the wrong—was a fate worse than death.

At that moment, Yu Changsheng turned to look at Zhang Chengming, a faint, unreadable smile playing on his lips.

He directed this last sentence at Lu Ruikai.

Lu Ruikai nodded gracefully. Seeing the matter was resolved, he didn’t press it further. He patted Yu Changsheng’s shoulder, left him with a simple, "Find me if there’s trouble," and took his leave.
