I Tame Beasts by Feeding

Chapter 364 - 290: The Hunt

"Alright. I’ll finish you off quickly to avoid any complications. As for Ling Feng, if he comes looking, I’ll just kill him too."

Wang Yungang sneered at the three of them. His arm slowly rose as Ice Needles condensed one after another, glinting with a cold light...

’It’s over...’

Luo Meng’s heart sank. Taking a deep breath, he suppressed his injuries and, with a wave of his sleeve, conjured a protective barrier in front of him.

’Hm?!’

Just then, Wang Yungang abruptly looked up, his brow furrowing slightly. His gaze fell upon the sky not far away, where he happened to lock eyes with Yu Changsheng’s group of four as they passed. The movement of his hands froze, and he squinted, sizing them up.

With an indifferent expression, Yu Changsheng glanced down at the six people below. He shook his head, having no intention of getting involved, and, without a word, prepared to depart.

Zhang Tianwen, who was carrying Shen Xingchen on his back, was of the same mind. He shot a cold glance at the six people below, not intending to get involved in their affairs.

Li Minghan, of course, couldn’t be bothered to care at all.

Wang Yungang, however, watched Yu Changsheng’s group with vigilance. After failing to discern their Cultivation, his gaze flickered with uncertainty, and he became hesitant.

Seeing this, the eyes of Luo Meng and his two companions lit up. But when they saw Yu Changsheng’s party about to leave, they grew desperate and shouted in a panic:

"Fellow Daoists! We are from Ling Feng’s Medicine Gathering Team! We don’t ask for you to save us, but we beg you to deliver a message to our Leader when you get down the mountain! Tell him that I, Luo Meng, was killed by Wang Yungang of the Cloud Sea Medicine Gathering Team because he tried to murder me for my Golden Cauldron Yin Iron!"

"Our Leader will be sure to reward you handsomely, and we will be eternally grateful."

As he finished speaking, the air fell still. Wang Yungang snapped his head around to glare at Luo Meng, his expression dark and his killing intent laid bare.

"Shut up!"

Yu Changsheng paused his steps. He glanced down at the pale-faced Luo Meng, whose lips were pressed into a thin line. His eyes narrowed as he said flatly:

"Not interested."

With that said, Yu Changsheng glanced at Wang Yungang and made to leave.

"Wait a moment."

An abrupt voice rang out. It was Wang Yungang. His expression was grim and uncertain as his gaze fixed intently on Yu Changsheng’s group. The corner of his mouth twitched, his face filled with malice.

"Hm?" Yu Changsheng raised an eyebrow, but his gaze fell not on Wang Yungang, but on Zhang Tianwen.

Zhang Tianwen quietly swallowed, glanced at the people below, and whispered to Yu Changsheng, "The Golden Cauldron Yin Iron... that’s a rare material used to forge Top-grade Magical Treasures, maybe even a Spirit Treasure... It’s worth a fortune. And coincidentally... Shen Xingchen’s Dragon’s Roar Sword just self-destructed..."

Zhang Tianwen didn’t need to finish his sentence. Yu Changsheng already understood. He nodded, halted, and descended from the sky to land before Wang Yungang, watching him quietly.

Wang Yungang gritted his teeth, his expression darkening. A vicious glint flashed in his eyes. After weighing the situation repeatedly, he said in a sinister voice:

"I wasn’t going to make you stay. But since you’ve heard everything... to prevent you from telling anyone, I have no choice."

’In Wang Yungang’s mind, while he couldn’t quite gauge the Cultivation of Yu Changsheng and his companions, their youthful appearances suggested their power couldn’t be that high. Otherwise, they wouldn’t have been in such a rush to leave.’

’Besides, he was at the Foundation Establishment Seventh Layer. Within the Foundation Establishment Realm, the Seventh Layer was practically the peak.’

Yu Changsheng ignored Wang Yungang’s threat. Instead, he turned to Luo Meng, frowned, and asked nonchalantly:

"Where is the Golden Cauldron Yin Iron?"

Luo Meng took a deep breath. As he looked at Yu Changsheng, he subconsciously lowered his head and murmured:

"I have it. Fellow Daoist, if you help me escape this predicament, I will be sure to offer a handsome reward."

Seeing himself completely ignored, Wang Yungang’s expression hardened before he laughed out of pure rage. With a cold wave of his sleeve, he ordered, "Yun Feng, Yun He, go and play with our guest."

The moment he spoke, his two companions exploded into action. Raising their long sabers high, they rushed toward Yu Changsheng and brought their blades down in a heavy slash.

"Noisy!"

Yu Changsheng frowned. A cold glint flashed in his eyes as he watched them. He didn’t dodge or evade. Instead, he simply extended a finger. His Physical Strength erupted, vital energy surging to form a colossal finger that he flicked toward the two charging men!

CLANG!

The next moment, the long sabers were knocked from Yun Feng and Yun He’s hands. Their bodies shot backward like kites with their strings cut, and they coughed up mouthful after mouthful of blood, staining the air crimson.

Yu Changsheng’s expression remained stern and unmoved. His vital energy surged once more, coalescing high above into a colossal, blood-red palm that descended upon the two men as they flew backward!

BOOM!

Instantly, every bone in Yun He and Yun Feng’s bodies shattered. Their eyes bulged from their sockets. Before the terror on their faces could even set, two clumps of Flame spontaneously erupted on their bodies. Without so much as a scream, they were incinerated into ash and scattered by the wind.

"What?"

Wang Yungang froze, crying out in disbelief. He stared at Yu Changsheng, undisguised terror filling his eyes. Without a moment’s hesitation, he turned to run.

’It was fast. Too fast. From the moment Yu Changsheng attacked to the moment it was over, barely two breaths had passed, yet he had already eliminated Yun He and Yun Feng. In Wang Yungang’s view, such strength was unfathomable—something only a Golden Core cultivator could possess.’

’How could he not run? His heart was trembling violently, and terror flooded his mind. He was filled with bitter, silent regret.’

"Hee hee hee, and where do you think you’re going?"

Li Minghan suddenly appeared in front of Wang Yungang, grinning at him as he threw a punch in a flash.

PUH...

Wang Yungang staggered and coughed up a mouthful of blood. He looked at the grinning Li Minghan, and without a shred of hesitation, he instantly fell to his knees and began kowtowing repeatedly.

"It’s all my fault! This lowly one was blind to not recognize your greatness and offended you, esteemed Daoists! Please, I beg you to let me go! Spare my life! I will reward you handsomely! This lowly one would be eternally grateful!"
