DXD: The Awakening Of Phenex

Chapter 403 – The Order That Cannot Be Denied

UCHIHA DISTRICT

Riser appeared inside the district in silence, the Mangekyō already deactivated while his gaze swept across every structure around him. The scenery was the same as before, but the difference was in the details. The houses maintained the traditional style, the paths were aligned, and everything conveyed the feeling of something preserved, not rebuilt.

Nothing there looked improvised.

It looked restored with intention.

Merlin remained beside him, observing his reaction without saying anything for a few seconds, waiting for the full assessment before interrupting.

"It turned out well, Riser-sama."

Riser did not answer immediately. His gaze continued moving through the district, analyzing the final result without hurry, as if comparing what he saw with something only he knew.

"You kept the original pattern." He finally spoke directly. "But corrected the structural flaws."

Merlin tilted her head slightly.

"It was the most efficient option."

Riser gave a slight nod, ending the analysis without dragging it out.

"Good work."

Silence returned for a moment, but this time it was not evaluation.

It was transition.

"Let’s go into Kamui." Riser turned toward her. "You go back to the house. I still have things to deal with."

"Of course, Riser-sama."

The Sharingan spun once more in Riser’s eye, spatial distortion forming around Merlin without any resistance, pulling her body into the Kamui dimension in a direct, clean, unavoidable flow.

She disappeared completely.

Without pause, Riser’s own body began dissolving into the same distortion, being absorbed by the surrounding space as if he were being pulled into his own eye, vanishing from the outside world without leaving behind any presence.

___

KAMUI DIMENSION

Riser appeared atop one of the dimension’s solid platforms, the environment silent and static as always, but now with two displaced presences inside a place that should not belong to them.

Homura and Koharu were there.

The two remained separated, visibly disoriented, looking around without understanding what they were seeing, without any reference for space or direction within that controlled void.

The moment they noticed Riser’s presence, the reaction came immediately.

"Who do you think you are?" Koharu spoke, her voice filled with irritation. "Do you know who you’re dealing with?"

"We are Konoha’s elders." Homura added, trying to recover authority even without understanding where they were. "You have no idea what you’re doing."

Riser did not move.

"Silence."

The word came out heavy.

Pressure came with it.

Haoshoku Haki spread instantly, crushing the environment with an absolute presence that allowed no real resistance. Their voices ceased before finishing, their bodies freezing beneath the invisible weight while their authority simply stopped existing within that space.

Riser kept his gaze fixed on both of them.

’I could kill them now... but control will be more useful.’

Koharu tried lifting her head, her body trembling under the pressure while forcing out a question despite lacking full control.

"Who... are you?"

A faint smile appeared on Riser’s face.

The aura changed.

If before it had been domination, now it was something worse.

"I am a devil from another world." He answered without hurry. "And you are completely screwed."

The effect was immediate.

Fear did not come gradually.

It exploded.

Unlike the pressure of Haoshoku, which dominated through force, this struck directly at the mind, shattering any remaining psychological resistance. Both of them collapsed instantly, their knees hitting the platform’s surface while their bodies trembled uncontrollably.

"Please... don’t kill me..." Koharu spoke first, her voice failing.

"We had no intention of offending you..." Homura added, already completely broken.

But at that point, intention no longer mattered.

Their apologies began spilling out over one another, but never reached completion.

"Enough."

Riser interrupted before either could continue, his voice low but carrying absolute command, cutting off the flow of submission that had begun to form.

He took one step forward.

His hands moved immediately.

Each palm positioned directly on top of one of their heads, leaving no room for reaction or retreat.

DUM

The impact was dry.

The energy changed.

Riser’s hands took on a deep crimson tone, magic activating directly at the point of contact while the consciousness of the two elders was dragged into a space where they no longer possessed control.

Resistance simply ceased to exist.

Riser entered.

"Listen carefully." He kept his tone steady and direct. "Danzō is a traitor to the village. That will be your answer when questioned."

No reaction.

No hesitation.

"You owe me absolute obedience." He continued without changing rhythm. "And you will align yourselves with Tsunade in her future decisions."

The command settled absolutely, descending into their consciousness like a mark that could neither be removed nor questioned.

It did not install itself merely as an order, but as truth, reorganizing the way they would think, react, and make decisions from that point onward.

"Do you agree?"

"Yes..." Koharu answered, her voice empty.

"Yes..." Homura repeated in the same tone.

Riser kept his hands there for one more second, ensuring there were no flaws in the execution before removing contact.

He lifted his gaze.

The space responded.

A translucent surface formed above, revealing the outside scene as if it were an open window between dimensions. Tsunade, Kakashi, Sakura, Danzō, and Shizune stood gathered outside the tower, still inside the barrier, completely unaware of what was happening within.

Riser observed for a moment.

Then focused back on the two elders.

"You will carry out everything I said." He reinforced. "But you will not remember me... nor this conversation."

"Yes..."

"Yes..."

The answers came again without failure.

Riser did not prolong it.

Their consciousness was shut down immediately, their bodies losing strength and collapsing inertly onto the platform’s surface.

The Sharingan spun once more.

The space around them distorted.

Without any ceremony, both elders were absorbed by the rift and returned directly to the Hokage’s office, repositioned as if they had never left.

Riser remained silent for a moment, his gaze still fixed on the point where the distortion had closed, ensuring there were no flaws in what he had just done.

’Now it’s her problem.’

He let out a quiet sigh, the tension from the operation dissipating while he reorganized his own intentions, leaving the political issue in Tsunade’s hands.

Without prolonging things, the space around his body distorted again, pulling his presence back deeper into the Kamui dimension in a clean, direct motion.

___

Riser appeared inside the house without making noise, the environment already stabilized, organized, and completely functional after Merlin’s work.

Before he could even take a step, a presence moved quickly toward him.

"Riser!" Hancock appeared in front of him, her cheeks slightly puffed in a clear pout. "You left me out again."

She crossed her arms but did not step back, maintaining the closeness as if expecting an immediate answer.

Riser looked at her for a second, analyzing the reaction before responding.

"Next time, I’ll take you with me."

He paused briefly, adjusting his choice before continuing.

"Only you."

The pout vanished instantly.

Her expression changed completely.

"Really?" Hancock moved even closer, her eyes shining.

"Yes." Riser answered simply.

That response was enough.

"Then it’s settled." She spoke excitedly, already forgetting any previous irritation.

Riser did not prolong the conversation.

"I want a massage." He spoke directly. "You’re coming with me."

Hancock did not hesitate.

"Of course."

She immediately positioned herself beside him, practically setting the pace as she followed him toward the stairs.

Merlin remained where she was, calmly observing the scene without interfering in the flow.

"I’ll stay here." She commented without changing tone. "I’ll leave you two alone."

Riser cast a quick glance toward her and gave a light nod before continuing onward.

Hancock was already climbing the stairs, clearly satisfied, not even trying to hide her excitement while pulling the situation toward herself.

The two disappeared upstairs.

Silence returned to the environment.

Merlin remained standing there for a few seconds, her gaze still directed toward the place where they had vanished, before letting out a faint smile.

"Women in love are very innocent."
