Chapter 1489 - 1487: Identity Exposed
Yun Qiluo paused for a moment, unconsciously recalling the video Yan Yan showed her a few days ago that almost got leaked by Fan Yubing.
An uneasy feeling suddenly arose in her heart.
She looked at the staff next to her: "Where’s my phone?"
"Here."
The makeup artist promptly handed the phone to her.
Yun Qiluo opened it and saw that the Trouble Group chat was full of mentions of her, and the atmosphere seemed quite heavy.
[Little Sister-in-law, quickly check Weibo.]
[Things are getting big, I’ve already asked someone to help delete it, but it’s a bit out of control.]
[How did this video get recorded? It includes Luo Nianqing, was it recorded by her?]
She hurriedly opened Weibo, didn’t even need to search, the top spot on the trending list was her, and the third and fifth following closely were also related to her.
[Yun Qiluo Earthquake Video] appeared conspicuously at the top.
She clicked in and saw that the homepage had the scene video Yan Yan showed her the other day.
Yun Qiluo froze almost instantly, holding her breath involuntarily.
She had thought her identity might be exposed one day.
But never expected it to come this fast.
And so publicly, at the top of the trending list, visible to everyone.
She took several deep breaths, after a while, carefully clicked into the comments.
It turned out the comments were not as she expected.
To her surprise, the top comments were all accusing her of photoshopping and stirring up hype, and cursing marketing accounts, but no one was mentioning the incident itself.
Clicked into the avatars and saw they were fans of other female stars, all fandom people.
Seemed like a collective effort to intentionally bash her.
Having been in the industry for a while, Yun Qiluo had vaguely understood how the entertainment circle operated, and this kind of smear looked like rival fans latching onto her trouble and deliberately buying infamy to blacken her.
Yun Qiluo: "..."
Suddenly a bit grateful to the haters.
She glanced at her fans in the comment section arguing with them, wishing she could send a message telling them to stop.
She even felt like going back to post on Weibo saying that she did photoshop the video for hype.
Who knew, after scrolling down, she discovered not all comments followed the same pattern.
Comments suspecting her identity were all placed at the very bottom.
Some even brought up previous laboratory news and the fact Yun Qiluo doesn’t have parents, making various inferences implying she might be one of those from the lab.
The heart she just relaxed became tense again.
Then realized those rival fans bashing her at the top were likely furthered by Yan Yan’s efforts.
She refreshed a couple of times, and the post disappeared.
Then a new post appeared, with discussion so high it was hard to suppress the heat.
Only then did Yun Qiluo start to panic.
The atmosphere was chaotic online, but she felt increasingly guilty.
—Even though currently they’re arguing she’s stirring up hype with a photoshopped video, netizens aren’t fools, and the day they come to their senses will arrive.
Moreover, with so many experts online, surely someone will recognize it’s not photoshopped.
Several thoughts rushed through her mind instantly, even imagining herself being dissected.
Her current life would be disrupted, the fact she’s her mom and dad’s daughter surely couldn’t be revealed.
Her identity would definitely affect her parents, and even the beautiful woman might be impacted.
Thinking of this, she immediately thought of standing up to find Yan Yan.
But her phone rang, it was Yan Yan’s call.
