Chapter 143: Dungeon Secrets
If Sion was a savior favored by the world then everything made sense.
In fact, most of his skills were both unexpected and reasonable.
The reason it was unexpected was that his skills were all unconventional and beyond the norm.
Unprecedented and unheard of, an ordinary person having even one of these skills would be considered a superhuman, but Sion had far too many unconventional skills.
But considering his great achievements, these skills made sense.
The only thing that was hard to believe was that godslayer hero skill.
Putting aside how he managed to kill a god, the question was when exactly he did it.
Surely it wasn't before he came to this world?
"Godslaying, I've never done such a thing." Sion used his magic to engulf the parchment scroll in flames, then got up and put on his clothes.
"He isn't lying, but it seems like there is something he is hiding," Astrea smiled and spoke.
"Don't worry, although I am also a god, I will stand by your side."
"Thank you." Sion smiled and spoke.
"Weren't you all curious about where I got so much orichalcum to manufacture the first unit?"
Orichalcum was an alloy that appeared a thousand years ago and represented the pinnacle of human achievement in materials science.
Durandals were also made from orichalcum.
The first unit manufactured by Sion wasn't an empty shell, but a complete solid piece made of the finest orichalcum.
Such a large quantity was something that even the entire Orario region couldn't produce.
"Could it be that you were fighting against some evil god and incidentally cleared out their inventory?" Alfia speculated.
"I was using the raw materials to manufacture the first unit when I happened to encounter an evil god," Sion corrected.
"And it wasn't a campaign against them, it was just a trap."
"So how did you do it?" Alfia asked.
"The great tree sea seals away a monster named antares."
"This monster was created by the dungeon in retaliation for the gods interfering in the gekkai, and it acts as a special attack monster against the gods."
Although antares was physically fragile, it had an extremely strong recovery ability and made the most of its god specific attacks.
In the movie, Artemis, who had unleashed her arcanum, was easily devoured with almost no power to resist.
It was important to know that Artemis truly unleashed her arcanum, having the strength to destroy a continent with a single blow.
Due to special circumstances, gods were allowed to use arcanum, but the rules were strict and gods basically couldn't bypass them.
Even a goddess like Loki, who would simply kill the gods in front of her in order to cut in line to enter the tenkai, couldn't bypass the oath without permission.
"So, what does this have to do with your godslaying?" Elsa asked in confusion.
"I've already said I didn't kill a god." Sion refuted her statement and added.
"The gods have interfered with the dungeon more than once or twice, but most of the time it has resulted in bitter consequences."
"The avatar that destroyed the ancient monster nidhogg, five of the great spirits devoured each other in the dungeon, and one entered the belly of the dragon."
"If it weren't for my intervention, one wouldn't be able to return to the tenkai now and would have been digested by the dragon."
"Mom." Ais murmured hearing this.
"The heaven's flame that fell to the gekkai became tainted with filth, and an eruption three hundred years ago destroyed Olympia."
"Because the gods interfered with the dungeon, the dungeon gave birth to a monster that targets the gods, antares."
"The fact that the dungeon harbors hatred for the gods, yet can also breed monsters that specifically target them, all of this signifies one thing."
"The dungeon is a being equal to the gods."
"So, Sion, you encountered an evil god while searching for orichalcum and lured it to the depths of the dungeon?"
