Chapter 458 Not a Single Man in the Kudo Family
"Look at your husband. Look at your son. One would rather keep his so-called secret and watch you be humiliated and defiled without doing anything. The other, for his own sake, doesn't care whether you live or die. You stepped up for him, but he didn't even say a word."
Even though Mrs. Yukiko knew Hakuto was deliberately trying to sow discord, she still felt a flicker of emotion.
However, Mrs. Yukiko said to Hakuto, "Stop trying to sow discord. Come at me."
Hakuto looked at Mrs. Yukiko and smiled. "Really, Mrs. Fujimine? Since you've invited me like this, I won't stand on ceremony."
After speaking, Hakuto walked towards Mrs. Yukiko. Although she still held her head high and didn't back down, a hint of panic had already appeared in her eyes.
At the same time, she couldn't help but feel a trace of resentment towards Yusaku, not understanding why he wouldn't speak.
She also felt a deep disappointment towards Shinichi. Why wouldn't he even say a word to beg?
Was he that afraid that Hakuto would turn his attention to him?
Disappointment filled Mrs. Yukiko's heart. Then she looked at Hakuto. "Come at me."
Hakuto made a clicking sound with his tongue as he looked at Mrs. Yukiko. "Your husband and son are less useful than you, a woman."
"But since you've said so, I'll oblige."
Hakuto approached Mrs. Yukiko, picked her up, and left, leaving Shinichi and Yusaku alone.
Hakuto carried Mrs. Yukiko through the Anywhere Door, then casually tossed her onto the sofa and said to Eri, "Eri, watch this woman."
Mrs. Yukiko was confused. She had been prepared, but the situation didn't seem to be what she had expected.
She glanced at Eri before her, her eyes full of confusion. Hakuto walked to the refrigerator, took out a can of cola, opened it, and took a big gulp.
Eri, standing by, began to explain to Mrs. Yukiko. She breathed a slight sigh of relief. At least she wouldn't have to suffer that kind of torment. But...
Eri told Mrs. Yukiko about the Restoration Society. After hearing it, she fell silent. Her own husband was a rebel.
And the man before her, who looked like a villain, was actually a government official. Mrs. Yukiko felt like her whole world had collapsed.
"Yukiko, if you know anything, it's best to just say it. That would be best for you and everyone else."
Mrs. Yukiko smiled bitterly and shook her head. If she knew, she would have said it already.
Seeing her shake her head, Eri sighed and said nothing more. Then Hakuto also realized he couldn't get anything out of Mrs. Yukiko. He was a bit disappointed but didn't say much.
Eri looked at Hakuto. "What are you going to do next?"
"Continue interrogating. No matter how tough Yusaku's mouth is, I'll pry it open eventually. But then, it won't be me asking the questions, but professional interrogators."
Hearing this, Eri didn't say anything more. She just looked at Mrs. Yukiko and sighed, feeling a bit regretful.
Eri knew very well that even if Mrs. Yukiko went back now, things between her and Yusaku could never return to how they were.
Likewise, Yusaku might not necessarily survive this unscathed.
Since Yusaku had been confirmed to be involved with the Restoration Society, there were only two outcomes: death or becoming Hakuto's puppet.
But no matter which outcome, it was a terrible result for Mrs. Yukiko. However, Eri had no way to help her.
Mrs. Yukiko pleaded with Eri, but she couldn't help.
"I'm sorry, Yukiko. I want to help you, but I can't. I cannot go against his will."
As Hakuto's servant, Eri could not go against his will to help Mrs. Yukiko. So from the very beginning, there was only one choice: accept fate. Since she couldn't fight it, just lie back and enjoy it.
Eri really didn't know how to comfort Mrs. Yukiko.
Hakuto didn't care either. Ran, however, looked at him, clearly worried about Shinichi.
But Hakuto didn't care about Ran. If Yusaku really refused to talk in the end, he would kill Shinichi. Anyway, he disliked him. Did he need a reason to kill someone?
No. If he disliked someone, he could just kill them.
Besides, Shinichi was Yusaku's son, not his. If Yusaku didn't care, why should Hakuto bother?
After sitting at Eri's place for about two hours, Hakuto stood up, preparing to leave.
Ran looked at Hakuto and said, "Can you take me with you?"
Hakuto completely ignored her and walked through the Anywhere Door.
Ran's face turned pale. Eri sighed and didn't comfort her. There was no comforting her at this time.
Instead, he returned to the interrogation room.
Fortunately, Hakuto had given Yusaku a simple hemostasis before, so he hadn't lost too much blood and died. But even though he wasn't dead, he was in a similar state.
Now, Yusaku was barely alive.
Seeing Hakuto return, Shinichi looked at him with eyes full of hatred.
"Don't look at me like that. If you had said 'come at me' earlier, I definitely wouldn't have touched your mother. You didn't dare. And now, putting all the blame on me like this, don't you find it disgusting?"
Shinichi's expression turned ashen, and he didn't say anything more.
Hakuto just looked at Yusaku. "Now that you've fallen into my hands, do you think it's hard for me to make you talk?"
Yusaku continued to ignore Hakuto. He just shrugged and said nothing more.
"Since you won't talk when I ask, I'll let the professionals handle it. I believe you will talk, Kudo Yusaku."
Hakuto gave a meaningful smile.
