The Heroines Can Read My Secret Diary

Chapter 194 Hakuto Taken Home by Tifa

Tifa almost immediately came to Hakuto's side, pulling him down into a crouch behind a table for cover. Then, her hand swept over her leg, and a pistol instantly appeared in her hand.

Seeing this, Hakuto stared at Tifa and said, "You bring a gun to dinner with me? Were you that worried I'd do something to you?"

Tifa replied somewhat sheepishly, "Habit. This gun gives me a sense of security. And as it turns out, my choice wasn't wrong. It came in handy."

Hearing Tifa's words, Hakuto glanced at her helplessly. Then he looked at the gangsters who had stormed into the restaurant with guns, a flicker of murderous intent in his eyes.

'These gangsters were really annoying. They had interrupted my date with Tifa.'

Just as Hakuto was considering whether to step in, Tifa suddenly stood up. With two quick shots, she dealt with two of the gangsters. Then she said to Hakuto, "All done."

Hakuto stood up and was about to say something when he saw another gangster at the entrance. The man was already reaching for his gun. Hakuto immediately wrapped his arm around Tifa's waist, grabbed the hand in which she held her gun, spun her around, and fired a shot, dealing with the gangster at the entrance.

Tifa's body tensed. It took a while for her to relax.

"You can let go of me now."

Hakuto released his grip on Tifa's hand and waist. "Sorry. The situation was urgent, so..."

"It's fine. I understand. But I think our troubles have just begun. These people are from Hell's Kitchen, working for the Kingpin. I'll be okay. As a Los Santos's police officer, the Kingpin won't openly target me. But since you're with me, the Kingpin will probably take his anger out on you."

Tifa looked at the tattoos on the arms of the gansters, a troubled expression on her face. Hakuto looked at her and said, "Don't worry. I'll be fine. But it looks like we won't be able to finish this meal."

"At a time like this, you're still thinking about food? The Kingpin is the godfather of the entire Los Santos underworld. If he wants someone dead in this city, there's no problem at all."

Seeing Hakuto's casual demeanor, Tifa thought he didn't know who the Kingpin was. She immediately explained. Then she grabbed his hand and pulled him out of the restaurant.

"Come with me. It's not safe here for now. You'll stay at my place to lay low. I'll send you away tomorrow."

Without waiting for Hakuto's consent, Tifa pulled him away. Soon, she shoved him into a car and drove him to a house.

After taking him home, Tifa said to him, "I'll book you a plane ticket tomorrow. Then you're leaving Los Santos and going back to Japan."

Hearing this, Hakuto laughed. Seeing him still able to laugh, Tifa glared at him. "I'm not joking. Tomorrow, I'm sending you out of America. I don't want to find your body in some ditch one day."

"Then will you come with me?"

"Don't worry about me. I'll be fine. The Kingpin wouldn't dare do anything to me."

Hearing this, Hakuto didn't say anything more. But Tifa said, "Alright. Get some rest. I'll send you off first thing in the morning."

"Okay. But are you really sure you don't want to come with me?"

Tifa hesitated. Then she said, "I'll come find you when I have time."

Hakuto didn't say anything more. But leaving America was not an option. As for the Kingpin, it was probably the Kingpin from Marvel. Hakuto didn't know what background Tifa had, but he wasn't planning to leave just like that.

If he left and Tifa became a female lead in the 3D Zone, Hakuto wouldn't be able to stand it. So he decided to take down the Kingpin.

Moreover, coming to America without experiencing the joy of gunfights would be a huge regret.

Tifa handed Hakuto disposable toiletries. "I have female friends who stay over occasionally. I have these. Use them."

"For your room, you can sleep in the one next to mine."

Seeing Tifa arranging everything for him, Hakuto smiled. "I think you'll make a good wife someday."

Tifa's expression stiffened slightly. Then she said, "Enough with the sweet talk. Go wash up and get some rest. I'll send you off early tomorrow."

"Alright then. Good night, my beautiful Tifa."

Hakuto took the toiletries and went into the room Tifa had indicated.

That night, Tifa tossed and turned in bed, unable to sleep. It was the first time she had brought a man home. She felt like she was crazy. She had brought home a man she had just met that day.

And she kept replaying the scene in the restaurant, where Hakuto had his arm around her waist, holding her hand, spinning her around.

'Would I ever see him again after tomorrow?'

Suddenly, Tifa got up and walked out. She went to the next room. She wanted to knock but worried she might wake Hakuto if he was asleep.

Soon, she found a spare key and opened the door. But the room was empty.

Just as worry began to creep into Tifa's heart, a diary appeared out of thin air and fell. Tifa instinctively caught it.

Looking at the diary, a confused expression appeared on Tifa's face. She hesitated, then picked it up. But the next moment, the diary disappeared from her hands.

With a thought, it reappeared before her eyes.

Tifa began to read the diary. When she finished, her expression changed.

She never expected that Hakuto had come to America to release a virus. Nor did she expect him to have such a bizarre background. But she understood what he meant by "Miss Jerusalem".

"Damn it."

Biting her lip, Tifa suddenly realized something.

"He didn't go to Hell's Kitchen to find the Kingpin, did he?"
