A Warm Marriage After Rebirth

Chapter 213: The Domineering Mr. Grant (Part 1)

Grant Manor was brightly lit, a stark contrast to New Year’s Eve. Seraphina Sterling keenly sensed that the atmosphere in the manor was off. Everyone seemed on edge, their nerves stretched taut, as if bracing for something sudden to happen at any moment.

Seraphina’s expression also grew solemn. ’What on earth happened to change the atmosphere of the entire manor? Did something happen to Terrence Grant again? Don’t tell me he’s injured again?’ The last time he was hurt, the mood of everyone in the manor had shifted.

At this thought, Seraphina’s pace quickened unconsciously. ’That man’s skills are so formidable and his movements so sharp, he shouldn’t get injured easily! There can’t be many people who could actually hurt him.’

Seraphina shrewdly noticed that Hughes wasn’t taking her to Terrence Grant’s room. Her brow furrowed even tighter. ’Has something really happened? Is Terrence Grant truly in some kind of danger?’ Seraphina couldn’t help but grow tense.

"Ah..."

"Ngh... Ah!"

"Don’t... Ah..."

"It hurts! Ah... You’re too heavy!"

Hearing these ambiguous sounds, Seraphina’s slender eyebrows knitted together tightly. ’What in the world is Terrence Grant doing?’

A gentle voice drifted out. "Young Master, with the three of us together... can you handle it?" Seraphina’s feet froze in place. ’One against three? So intense?’

An image of Terrence Grant entangled with three women immediately flashed through Seraphina’s mind. She quickly shook her head. ’Terrence Grant is such a germaphobe, there’s no way he’d be doing it with three women at once! But then again, looks can be deceiving. He’s definitely a clean freak in his daily life, but that doesn’t necessarily mean he’s a clean freak in *this* area.’

Hughes saw Seraphina’s complicated expression but remained perfectly calm. ’She’s just a high school student,’ he thought, ’she wouldn’t let her mind go there.’ Little did Hughes know, not only had Seraphina’s mind gone there, it had gone way, way there.

As Hughes and Seraphina entered the room, she finally saw the truth: Terrence Grant had Monkey in an arm lock with one hand, was controlling the perverted doctor’s movements with one leg, and had his foot planted on Mermaid.

Only then did Seraphina understand what "one against three" actually meant. It was completely different from what she had imagined.

Terrence Grant glanced at Seraphina, showing no intention of speaking, but he did mercifully release his three sparring partners.

"You didn’t call me over to be a sparring partner, did you?" Seraphina asked, looking at Terrence Grant, who was only lightly sweating, and then at Monkey, the perverted doctor, and Mermaid, who were all drenched. ’Is his stamina limitless?’

’I’ve fought all three of them before. Every single one of them is an absolute expert, the elite of the elite. And the three of them combined couldn’t beat Terrence Grant. It’s terrifying to think just how freakishly skilled he is!’

Terrence Grant shot a look at Hughes. "When did I tell you to bring her here?"

Seraphina was speechless. ’What’s gotten into him? Why is he acting so weird?’ She turned a questioning gaze on Hughes as well. ’If Terrence Grant didn’t ask for me, why did he go all the way to the Jennings Family’s home to pick me up?’

Hughes felt their glares lock onto him like four high-voltage wires. He had the distinct feeling that if he couldn’t provide a satisfactory explanation, their gazes alone would instantly reduce him to dust.

"Young Master," Hughes began, choosing his words and tone as carefully as possible, "when I suggested bringing Miss Sterling back, you didn’t object, did you?" He was all too familiar with his young master’s current mood—he was on the verge of exploding. One wrong move and he could be blown to smithereens.
