Seraphina Sterling smiled faintly. "Mr. Galloway, you’re a smart man. You know what choice is best for you. Wasn’t your decision to sell the company about recouping some capital to stage a comeback? I can guarantee that my offer is the most reasonable. And the highest. Don’t be so impulsive that you forget your main objective."

"Save your breath! My decision is final! Everything you’ve done has been for my auction company, hasn’t it? Well, I’m going to make sure all your efforts are for nothing! I’ll see to it that you fail at the final hurdle!"

Seeing the angry yet helpless look on Seraphina Sterling’s face, Miles Galloway felt a surge of satisfaction. He had been waiting for this day for a very, very long time. ’Scheme against me, Miles Galloway, and still expect to get my company? As if I would ever let that happen!’

’Since I can’t benefit from this, I’ll be damned if I let you get what you want!’

"I hope you don’t regret this," Seraphina Sterling said before turning to leave. As soon as she was out of the Galloway Family’s auction house building, she immediately dialed a number. "Joel Xavier, you can make your move. The time is right!"

In reality, Seraphina Sterling had long predicted that Miles Galloway would not sell the auction company to her. That was why she had already tasked Joel Xavier with finding someone skilled in managing and operating auction houses to negotiate with him.

She realized someone was helping her, trying to ensure she could smoothly acquire the Galloway Family’s auction company.

Upon seeing the news, Seraphina Sterling immediately contacted Joel Xavier, telling him to have their arranged buyer cut the offered price by half. ’So it’s a game of schemes, is it? Two can play at that game.’

Miles Galloway, who had also heard the news, was pacing anxiously around his office. "Mr. Galloway, let’s be frank with each other. I admit the price I’m offering isn’t high, but it’s not low, either. This is the true estimated value of your auction company. If you feel the price is inappropriate, then we have nothing more to discuss. This is the absolute highest I can go. My own auction company is just starting out, and my working capital is limited."
