Old Liu's eyes widened further. "The Supreme Foundation? Never heard of it.

Shen Chen's smile widened. "I'm not anyone. I'm a Void Dragon."

Old Liu laughed, a warm, fatherly sound. "That you are, boy. That you are."

They walked back to the bandit camp together, the desert stretching around them.

"Thank you," Shen Chen said quietly. "For everything. For saving me. For teaching me. For being my family."

Old Liu put a hand on his shoulder. "You don't have to thank me, boy. That's what family does."

Shen Chen looked up at the sky, his heart filled with a new sense of purpose.
