Civilization Chronicles: Rise of the Divine Creator

Chapter 475: There’s More?

Naturally, Celestina, Christina, and Eris were confused, wondering just what was going on.

Fortunately, the three of them didn’t have to wait very long to find out as less than a minute later, Felicity returned with a rolling garment rack covered in a large black cloth.

The Master and Disciples trio had actually noticed this rack outside the changing room earlier, but none of them had thought much about it, figuring it was just something used for storage.

When Felicity eagerly whipped the black cloth off, however, the three of them had their eyes bulge wide.

"These... these are..." Christina, whose eyes were immediately drawn to one item in particular, walked forward unconsciously, reaching for it as if it was calling to her.

Eris and Celestina weren’t faring much better, the two of them also reaching for what they assumed were the articles meant for them.

Felicity wasn’t surprised by this reaction, as even she, the one responsible for making these, felt inexplicably drawn in every time she saw them.

She had never cared much for her own appearance, or at all really, always focusing on making others shine more brightly rather than herself, but these... these made Felicity feel like it might not be so bad to get dressed up nicely every once in a while.

Still, as a professional, the young woman managed to, mostly, maintain her composure and explain, "A-Actually, these 3 dresses are the r-real items Boss Lucas had us... had us focus on making. T-T-The underwear w-were just n-necessary e-extras so that y-y-you could wear these."

Felicity’s explanation was about as clear as you could hope it to be from someone with social anxiety and fully revealed Lucas’ big secret plan, but Celestina, Eris, and Christina were barely listening to her at this point.

The ladies were all too captivated by the beautiful dresses hanging in front of them to care about anything else.

Each dress was unique, clearly designed with their individual personalities in mind, and were also radically different from any dress or outfit Celestina, Eris, or Christina had ever seen before. Even if that was the case, though, they were, without a doubt, absolutely stunning.

The man Lucas inherited his memories from was no tailor or dressmaker, but he had apparently seen enough dresses to give the young boy a starting point.

Lucas had a talent for drafting and design, which while much more applicable in the engineering field, translated at least somewhat into the artistic realm. Coming up with something completely from scratch would probably be impossible, but taking an existing idea and sketching it out was totally possible, and that was where these dresses originated from.

That said, Lucas only had some rough ideas to go on, so rather than trying to precisely re-create the other universe’s designs, he draw some general concepts and then passed those along to real experts in this field, which was where Isaac and Felicity came in.

The two young tailors were both daredevils who were constantly looking to push the boundaries of fashion and try out new concepts, so when Lucas handed them 3 radically new base designs to work from, they had nearly squealed in delight.

Lucas also made a point of telling them not to restrict themselves, and that if something in his sketches didn’t make sense or wasn’t possible, they could change it however they saw fit, as long as it maintained the same general aesthetic.

For Celestina, his bold and confident Master, Lucas drew a flame-red dress with thin shoulder straps, a top which was cut just deep enough to expose a little of her proud mountains and deep valley without coming off as vulgar, a slim form-fitted waist that sat comfortably on her hips, and a long straight skirt that fell loosely down to her mid-calf.

The highlight of this number, however, was undoubtedly the thigh-high slit on the skirt which would expose Celestina’s long shapely legs whenever she took a step or struck a pose.

For the bubbly, energetic Eris, Lucas could have gone with red again to match her hair, but he felt that would be too uninspired, so he chose forest-green instead, a colour would draw attention to his big sister’s bright, sparkling eyes.

The dress itself wasn’t nearly as bold as Celestina’s, instead going for a more innocent look. Very wide shoulder straps lead directly to a clean, straight cut top. The waist was only slightly tapered, just enough to change the line of the dress without affecting its overall shape. As for the skirt, it had been left to flow smoothly, but only extended down to her knees, giving it a light and youthful feel.

Both of these dresses were truly outstanding works of art, and after Felicity helped Celestina and Eris into them and showed them their reflection in the dressing room mirror, neither could get the goofy smile off their face, nor did they ever want to take the dresses off.

However, in the end, this was all for Christina’s birthday, so it made sense that when she finished putting on her slightly more elaborate dress, all three of the other the ladies agreed it was a cut above the rest.

"I’m not sure Lucas knows what kind of chaos he’s about to unleash," Celestina commented in a thoroughly impressed and exasperated tone, "The moment you walk down the stairs and into the Manor’s front square, wearing that, it’s going to be like an explosion went off."

Blushing furiously, while also smiling stupidly, Christina bashfully muttered, "Please don’t make fun of me, Master. I’m sure with your dress, everyone will have their eyes fixed on you."

"Hmph, they wouldn’t dare," Celestina snorted before grinning, "It’s your big day, Tina, you’ll be the focus of everyone’s attention whether you like it or not. Whether it’s the girls looking on enviously, or the boys looking on hopelessly, it’s all going to be about you."

"En, en!" Eris nodded vigorously, "Sister Tina is just too pretty!"

Before the circular praise could continue, Felicity coughed lightly to grab everyone’s attention, "Ahem, I-I’d like if you all could t-try on the last pieces to complete the look, s-s-so I can make some final adjustments."

Hearing this request, Celestina, Eris, and Christina all had the same, single thought, There’s more? Just how much effort did Lucas put into this?! For that matter, when did he even find time for all of this!?
