SSS Awakening: Conquering Worlds with My Cupid System

Chapter 97: A Degenerate Ice Empress *

Chloe’s fingers found the button of his jeans, working it open with a precision that belied her trembling hands. The click of the zipper was deafening in the small space, too loud, too obvious, and she froze, her eyes darting toward the gap in the coats. A woman walked past, her heels clicking against the tile, close enough that Chloe could see the hem of her skirt brush the bottom of the hanging coats.

She didn’t stop.

Chloe’s breath came out in a shaky exhale, and when she looked back at Silas, something had shifted in her expression. The warning was gone. The hesitation was gone. What remained was pure, undiluted hunger.

She pushed his jeans down, just past his hips. Her hand found him, already hard, already aching, and she wrapped her fingers around his length with a possessiveness that made his breath catch.

"Quiet," she whispered, and there was a warning in it, a dare.

He opened his mouth to respond, and she silenced him with her hand, her palm pressing flat against his lips, her eyes locked on his as she guided him inside her.

The heat of her was staggering. She was still sensitive from her climax, still slick and pulsing, and when he filled her completely, her eyes fluttered shut, her teeth sinking into her lower lip. Her hand stayed pressed against his mouth as a reminder and a threat.

She began to move.

Slow at first, a subtle roll of her hips that dragged him deeper, that made her breath stutter and her fingers curl against his skin. The coats rustled around them, and every whisper of fabric sent a spike of adrenaline through her veins. She was aware of everything, the hard wall at her back, the weight of him inside her, the distant chatter of shoppers, the clatter of a cart somewhere in the next aisle.

Anyone could turn the corner. Anyone could see the coats shift, hear the muffled rhythm, notice that something was happening in this shadowed pocket of the store.

The thought made her clench around him.

She rode him harder, her hips finding a desperate rhythm, her hand still clamped over his mouth as her own threatened to betray her. A moan built in her throat, thick and animal, and she swallowed it down, her jaw tight, her eyes watering with the effort.

Silas’s hands found her hips, guiding her, his fingers digging into the soft fabric of her trousers bunched around her thighs. He thrust up into her, meeting her rhythm, and the angle changed, something shifted, and a gasp tore through her teeth before she could stop it.

Her hand flew from his mouth to her own, muffling the sound, her eyes wide with panic.

"Fuck," she breathed into her palm.

He grinned, that infuriating, shit-eating grin she wanted to slap off his face, and thrust again, deliberately, aiming for that same spot, watching her struggle to contain the sounds he was pulling from her. She hated him, but she loved him. She wanted to kill him and ride him until she forgot her own name, in that order.

Her free hand found his shoulder, her nails digging into the fabric of his jacket, anchoring herself as she moved against him. The friction was maddening, the pressure building in her core with every stroke, and she was already too close, already trembling on the edge of something devastating.

"Silas~"

The word came out as a plea, but he didn’t slow down.

She bit down on her own hand, hard enough to taste copper, as her climax crashed through her. Her body seized, her walls clenching around him in rhythmic pulses, and she shook against him, silent and violent, her forehead pressed to his shoulder as she rode out the wave.

He followed her over the edge, burying his face in her hair to muffle his own groan, his release spilling into her as he held her tight against the wall.

For a long moment, neither of them moved.

The coats still hung around them. The store still hummed with life. A child laughed somewhere in the distance, a shopping cart squeaked, an announcement crackled over the intercom.

They had not been discovered.

Chloe pulled back, her eyes meeting his. Her hand came away from her mouth, her lip smeared with a thin line of blood where she’d bitten through.

"We’re never speaking of this," she said.

"Agreed."

"I mean it, Silas."

"I know."

She looked down at his jeans, still open and still undone, then at her trousers, pooled around her ankles, and at the wet spot on his thigh that was definitely going to be a problem.

"We need paper towels," she said.

He laughed, quiet and warm, and pulled her back into his arms.

Silas’s laughter faded into a low hum against her temple, his arms still wrapped around her, his breath warm in her hair. Chloe stood rigid for a moment, caught between the aftershocks still pulsing through her body and the very real problem of their current state.

She pulled back, looking down at the mess they’d made.

"Paper towels," she repeated, more firmly this time.

"Or we just walk out."

"Silas."

"I’m serious. Walk out, get in a car, and go home. No one finds out."

Chloe’s eyes went wide. "You want to walk through a department store with..." she gestured vaguely at his jeans, at the unmistakable dampness darkening the fabric, "...that."

"It’s a coat section. I could carry a coat."

"You’re a child."

"I’m an efficient child. Come on." He reached for the nearest heavy coat on the rack, a ridiculous puffy number in an obnoxious shade of red, and held it up. "Look. Alibi and warmth in one."

Chloe stared at him, her lips twitching. Before she knew it, she was laughing, a quiet, breathless thing she pressed into her palm, her shoulders shaking.

"You’re going to get us arrested."

"Only if you keep laughing like that. People will think we’re shoplifting, but I’m actually paying for it."

She pulled herself together, swiping at her eyes. "Fine. The coat. But I’m not carrying anything that color."

"Chicken."

"Silas, that coat looks like a fire extinguisher."

"It’s a statement."

"It’s visible from space."

He draped it over his arm anyway, positioning it strategically to cover the evidence. She pulled her trousers up, wincing at the damp fabric, and adjusted her hoodie, running her fingers through her hair, checking herself in the reflection of a nearby display case.

Her cheeks were flushed. Her eyes were bright. She looked like a woman who had just been thoroughly fucked behind a coat rack, and there was no hiding that.

"Ready?" he asked.

"Absolutely not."

"Good. Let’s go."

He took her hand, lacing his fingers through hers, and led her out from behind the coats. The store spread before them, bright and mundane and utterly unaware of the desecration that had happened.
