Chapter 751: The Rise of the Eternal Star Alliance
Three days later, Atom began reminding Nash that he was about to lose control.
"Taking control of the Void Pulse, Nash began to concentrate his calculation power on driving.
With over 1 sextillion in computational power, he could process every piece of data that passed through his mind in an instant, along with the future trajectory of each dark beast. Furthermore, because he was connected to Tsuka without delay, he could take on the full load of life detection.
"Relax, Tsuka, let me handle the rest. You just need to activate your ability."
"Yes, master..." Tsuka said tiredly.
With the Void Pulse moving at hundreds of light-years per second, it had to process every new life signature. Such high-intensity activity had taken a toll on its body, leaving it fatigued and with a pounding headache.
Bearing all the burden alone, Nash steadily drove and wove the Void Pulse like his own body as he waited for the Altier Arcane Cannon to charge for another shot.
---
A few days later, as the Void Pulse’s speed reached 1,000 light-years per second, the original feeling of god mode was gone.
Nash felt his mind about to explode from all the information, so he cut off the Universal Module System connection to avoid collapsing.
"Hold on... Hold on..."
The instant he slowed down or reached a stable speed, those remaining Tier 9 dark beasts could lock onto the Void Pulse and wipe them out. Unable to control the Void Pulse’s variable speed to decelerate and accelerate instantly, he could only push maximum overdrive.
---
Finally, after a few more days, while activating the Overlimit Module and driving at over 3,000 light-years per second, Nash eliminated the last Tier 9 dark beast.
Slowly decelerating the ship, Nash quickly called Atom to take over.
"Notify the teams in the rear; it’s time to clean this place." Giving his last order, Nash finally fainted.
---
In the rear of the Forbidden Domain, the members of the Eternal Star Alliance quickly received Atom’s message.
Shocked and astonished, they couldn’t help but read the message a few more times to check that they weren’t hallucinating.
"Did Lord Nash really clear those Tier 9 dark beasts?"
"Didn’t you count the number of those flashes? 38 in total! 8 days of nonstop fighting; those monsters should have already been wiped out."
"Insane! This is too insane! One man against a group of Tier 9 dark beasts, and he wiped them all out. Just how strong is Lord Nash? No, just how strong is our leader?!"
Although they had watched the whole process, they still felt as if they were in a dream.
"Don’t dawdle; clean up the Forbidden Domain as soon as possible. Lord Nash already baked us the cake; the only thing we can do now is decorate it to perfection!"
With their blood boiling with excitement, everyone rushed through the Forbidden Domain and began cleaning up the remaining dark beasts. Although this process was monotonous and time-consuming, their safety was guaranteed.
---
Meanwhile, as the Eternal Star Alliance pressed on with their campaign, all the major teams watching from the sidelines were shocked. They didn’t think the Eternal Star Alliance really had what it took to clear a Forbidden Domain. Yet based on their probe, there was no longer a hint of Tier 9 dark beasts.
Intrigued, they couldn’t help but look at the Eternal Star Alliance with more admiration. Even with just a hundred top-level teams, their achievements could rival those of the Grand Race Sovereign Alliance.
Of course, compared to them, which had done that in just over a decade, it was nothing.
"The Cosmic Competition is getting muddier..." The stronger the others were, the higher their chances of clearing this wild void area, and the higher the likelihood they would pack the prize home.
---
While the seven major teams shrugged off the Eternal Star Alliance’s achievements, the Grand Race Sovereign Alliance and the three smaller major alliances were filled with curiosity and shock.
"Just how did they clear that Forbidden Domain? Did they use some treasure?"
The Grand Race Sovereign Alliance’s strategy for clearing a Forbidden Domain was piling it up with numbers. Deploying hundreds of X-class battleships and tens of thousands of SSS-class battleships, they held off the onslaught of Tier 9 dark beasts until the Altier Arcane Cannon wiped them out.
Unless the Eternal Star Alliance had the technology to build such powerful battleships, clearing a Forbidden Domain would be impossible.
The reaction of the three little major alliances was even more intense. They had thought they were on the same level as the Eternal Star Alliance, barely surviving in the cracks, yet how could they suddenly emerge with such a force?
Feeling urgent, the three small major alliances began contacting each other to plan their way up.
With the Eternal Star Alliance in the lead, they couldn’t be left behind; otherwise, what difference would they have from before?
---
Finally, the remaining 700 neutral top-level teams also on the sidelines began to form a decision.
Joining an alliance was never easy, especially for a top-level team carrying the hopes and dreams of their galactic territory. So, before making a final decision, they needed to weigh everything that could give them the most benefit.
With the Eternal Star Alliance’s achievement, they felt it was time to gamble and put all their chips on the table.
Deciding, they quickly called their contacts in the Eternal Star Alliance and asked what conditions they had to meet to join.
---
At the edge of the Eternal Star Forbidden Domain, Nash slowly woke up and regained his senses.
"Nash! You’re awake!"
"Are you feeling anything unusual, Nash?"
Worried, Camilla and Elizabeth peered at Nash.
"I’m fine. How long have I been out? What is the progress of the cleanup? Did they encounter any problems?" Nash asked one after another. With the nourishment of primordial energy, he felt as fresh as a newborn; how could he have any problem?
"You’ve been asleep for a week. At this moment, the members of the Eternal Star Alliance are still clearing up the Tier 8 lord-level dark beasts. As for problems, the only thing pending is that they’re waiting for your decision about the other top-level teams wanting to join the alliance." Elizabeth reported in a swift tone.
"That’s good. What is the situation of those top-level teams? Did they put any conditions or demands?"
"They said everything is up to you. If the price is right, they would join the Eternal Star Alliance."
"The number?"
"All 712 of them."
"Oh? They move swiftly." Nash smiled. If it were only 200 to 300 top-level teams, he wouldn’t need to be picky. Now that they all wanted to join, he had to set a few conditions.
The Eternal Star Alliance didn’t need members more than necessary. A cohesive small team was better than a massive but loose one, well, unless their number reached that of the Grand Race Sovereign Alliance.
"Do you have their information?"
"Here, I asked Teal to collect it for you." Camilla handed him a list.
As he browsed the list, he began marking the advantages and disadvantages of each team. Afterward, he began to deduce their compatibility, culture, and background.
Those that were too cruel, beastly, or lacking in morals were all crossed out. Those that had offended the majority of the members of the Eternal Star Alliance were also crossed out. Finally, those that were too arrogant and dared to demand various conditions before joining were also out.
After the screening, 397 top-level teams remained.
"Here is the list of the teams that can join us. Before they join, they need to pay 100 million Chaos Stones and quickly send out manpower to clear the Forbidden Domain. We’ll talk about team composition and benefit distribution after everything is settled."
"100 million Chaos Stones? Is this too much?" Elizabeth muttered in worry. If all 397 teams joined, they would net over 39 billion Chaos Stones, which far exceeded what they had spent.
"Why not? Since they’re joining midway, it’s natural to pay more." Camilla scoffed. These freeloading opportunists really knew how to time their entry.
"That’s right. This is also the price of being a fence-sitter. After all, we can’t let the old members of the Eternal Star Alliance feel slighted. Of course, this initiation fee would be used as the alliance fund, not my pocket."
"Understood, I will relay it to them." Nodding, Elizabeth relayed Nash’s words to Teal.
"100 million initiation fee? Is Lord Nash still dreaming? Wouldn’t this make those top-level teams leave right off the bat?" Teal muttered in complaint. Didn’t they do all this work so they could recruit more teams to the alliance? Now their leader was putting up a high barricade just when they were about to enter.
"This is also for you old members. How would you feel if those teams joined and had the same authority as you? You did all the work, and they’re just here to enjoy the benefits?"
"This... Fine. I’ll tell the teams truthfully. Anyway, the remaining money will go into the alliance fund. If they can’t accept it, that just means they weren’t cut out for the Eternal Star Alliance..."
