Knotting His Rejected Breeder

Cade walked into the mini station. The small room felt crowded. The air hung thick with tension. Maps covered the table. Markers showed attack routes.

Ferins stood at the head. Wolf and Caleb leaned over the plans. Their faces looked focused. Determined. Cade stopped in the doorway. His eyes moved across the room. He already knew the answer to the question he was about to ask. But he needed to hear it from them.

"What exactly is going on here?" he asked. His voice stayed even. He kept his hands loose at his sides. No anger showed on his face. Not yet.

They all turned to face him. Wolf spoke first. His shoulders stayed square. "If you’ve come to stop the attack, don’t bother. That bastard is the reason Sonia went missing again. Father found out, and that’s why we decided to end things once and for all."

Cade looked at them one after the other. Confusion sat clear in his eyes. "And no one thought of informing me about this sudden attack?"

Castiel stepped into the room behind him. "And me."

Craig followed right after. "And me too."

Castiel turned to Caleb. His voice stayed calm but firm. "What is going on, Caleb?"

Caleb shifted on his feet. He looked between his brothers. "Look, it was so sudden, okay? When father came in, it was just myself and Wolf at the pack. He told us Ramon was treating Sonia like a prisoner, and that we must stop him. What did you expect me to do? It’s our sister, Sonia!"

Cade directed his gaze at his father. Confusion and annoyance both sat on his face. "And how do you know Ramon has Sonia, when you haven’t even bothered to search for her all this while?"

Ferins straightened up. His voice came deep. "You have some nerve to question me, Cade. Last I checked, I’m not just your father. I’m also your alpha. What I say, absolutely goes. Besides, just because I didn’t tell you I was looking for Sonia, doesn’t mean I wasn’t. If you must know, that’s all I’ve been doing. Looking for her!"

The small room rattled. They had to plant their feet solidly on the ground so as not to be swept away by the effect of his growl.

Castiel shook his head. "I don’t think Ramon has her. Are we certain we’re not making a mistake? And even if he has her, this is an entire pack we’re talking about. Don’t the wolves deserve safety? If the problem is with Ramon, then he can face the consequences alone."

Craig nodded. "I agree with Castiel. This doesn’t feel right. It feels like a rushed decision."

Wolf stepped forward. Anger lifted his eyes. "If you three are too much of cowards to fight for your sister, then step aside and let those brave enough to defend their honor, do it!"

Cade stepped forward. He held his challenging gaze. "It’s one thing for father to give orders. He can, because he is our father, and also the alpha. But it is an entirely different thing for you to threaten me, your elder. I agree with Castiel and Craig. Something is off."

Wolf’s lips curled. "And what are you going to do to stop us, big brother?"

Ferins took his eyes off them. He returned his attention to the map. Lorena had shown him a different point of entrance. He needed to be assured that if he entered, he could also bring his warriors with him.

Seth walked into the tensed room. "What is going on here?"

Wolf turned to him. "Look who is here. The other peacemaker. Why don’t you ask your brother? We found out that Ramon has Sonia. He has been torturing her. But guess what Cade wants us to do?"

Seth played along. "What?"

"Absolutely nothing!"

Wolf’s voice rose. "He wants us to talk, as if whilst we’re doing that, we’re not risking our warriors lives. We have to capture Bloodmoon before sun up. That’s what we need to be doing."

Seth looked at their father. "And this is because Ramon supposedly has Sonia?"

Wolf gritted his teeth. "You heard me clearly the first time, Seth."

Seth shook his head. "Well, I don’t think an attack makes any sense, considering the fact Ramon does not have Sonia."

Ferins stopped what he was doing. He lifted his head. "What exactly are you talking about? I know for a fact that Ramon has Sonia!"

Seth met his eyes. "And how do you know that, father? You’ve barely lifted a finger in search of her."

Ferins thundered. "Seth! You are not going to question me too. I am your alpha!" Thick veins popped out of his neck.

Seth remained unmoving. He was sick of the games and the lies. "Why can’t I question your motives? You expect me to just fight for your cause, just because? I know for a fact Sonia is not in Bloodmoon. I know this because I saw her just this morning. And if Jed was here, he would agree with me."

Jed walked into the room. "No need to look too far, because Jed is here."

Caleb looked confused. "Okay can someone explain what is going on here?"

Jed pointed at their father. "I think that question should be directed to our father. He’s the one that needs to explain why he’s attacking Bloodmoon, when Ramon doesn’t even know the whereabouts of Sonia."

The room went silent. Everyone turned to their father. Ferins couldn’t believe what was happening. His own sons were turning on him. It wasn’t a good look at all. He knew he had to come up with something fast. An explanation of some sort that was sure to get them back on his side.

Before he could speak, Lorena ran into the room. "Ferins!" She called. She jumped into his body and held on to him tightly. "I’m so glad you’re actually here. Finally, we can be together!" She said, and they hugged.

The sons exchanged confused glances between themselves. Wolf was the first to ask what was on everyone’s mind. "What is going on now?"

Jed pointed out the obvious. "If I’m not mistaken, it’s a pregnant girl, who if I’m not mistaken, is supposed to be the mistress of alpha Ramon."

Wolf took an angry step toward her. "She’s the one that tried to kill Sonia?"

Ferins swiftly pushed her behind him and faced his sons. "Who lied to you? Lorena never tried to hurt Sonia. Can’t you all see what is happening?!" He asked in frustration.

Wolf’s voice rose. "No I can’t. Because if my memory serves me right, the reason you wanted to marry off Sonia to Liam, was because Ramon had his hand full with this bitch who tried to kill Sonia. So father, with every bit of respect, I ask again, what is she doing here?"

Seth stepped forward. "He’s not going to tell you, so let me."

Cade nodded. "Please do, because I’m just as curious."

Seth looked at their father. "Well she’s clearly carrying father’s child. And all of this is just because of father’s hatred for Ramon. He thought you’d all join him in destroying Bloodmoon if he convinced you Ramon had Sonia. Now my question is since the whore is your new spy, meaning she practically told you everything happening in Bloodmoon, she must have also told you Sonia wasn’t in the pack. How come you never bothered to find your only daughter?"

Cade added in a disappointed voice. "The one who looks the most like mother?"

Lorena answered from behind. "That bitch isn’t worth looking for. She has been soiled by Ramon’s filthy hands!"

Wolf charged forward before he could stop himself. Cade hurried ahead of him and blocked his path. "Get out of my way, Cade. I need to teach that whore a lesson for daring to speak of Sonia in that manner!"

"Ferins!" Ramon’s voice suddenly filled the air. Everyone’s head turned to the door.
