Eating barbecue and drinking juice, Yao Le'er was very attentive, busying herself with various tasks. Xu Bin had a good idea of what she was thinking but didn't say anything.
After they returned home, Xu Bin stretched and said he wanted to take a nap. As soon as he got to his room, he stripped down to his underwear.
Soon after, Yao Le'er knocked on the door, "Sister-in-law, can I come in? It's so hot, I just want to cool off in here!"
"The door's not locked, you're usually not this polite."
Xu Bin teased, and the door pushed open. Yao Le'er, blushing, walked in, already changed into her school-issued camouflage uniform. Her hair was still loose, making her look even more innocent and beautiful.
She sat on the edge of the bed, nervously asking, "Sister-in-law, when will my new phone arrive?"
She couldn't help but ask since students weren't allowed to use phones in class, but some registrations and teaching materials required them.
If she asked her mother, Yao Le'er knew she'd end up with some old, second-hand phone or her mother's old phone.
The Apple 14 invoice had become a nightmare for her. She wanted to ask Xu Bin if it was real but didn't have the courage.
No one in the family used such an expensive phone. Even Xu Bin used old phones. Though she dreamed of having one, Yao Le'er didn't have the nerve to ask.
