Walking to the sofa, Xu Bin smoked silently without saying a word. He glanced at her and said, "Mom, I'm sorry if I disturbed your sleep."
Influenced by the earlier events, Shen Ruyu wore a conservative nightgown, though it couldn't hide her curvaceous figure.
Seeing Xu Bin's cold demeanor, Shen Ruyu sat down beside him and frowned, "Son-in-law, if you have something on your mind, you can talk to me if you can't communicate with Yao Nan."
"Mom, it's nothing. You should go to sleep."
Xu Bin wanted to quickly resume his communication with the system and stubbed out his cigarette, planning to go upstairs.
But Shen Ruyu pulled him back, huffing, "What do you mean 'nothing'? You're just like your brother, keeping everything to yourself. Today, you're going to talk, or I won't be happy."
Xu Bin smiled wryly, "Mom, I just need a good night's sleep."
"What do you mean 'need'? Spill it out. What's there to hide from your mom?"
Shen Ruyu opened the door, ready to give him a piece of her mind, but noticed something unusual.
The living room was too quiet, and the TV was off. When she opened the door, Xu Bin wasn't even on his phone. That wasn't normal.
Shen Ruyu, now treating him as a son, pulled him to the sofa and said, "Come on, tell me what's wrong. You can talk to me if you can't talk to Yao Nan."
