Pirate: I'm! Golden Lion Jr

Chapter 237

Chapter 237

"Don’t meddle in things that don’t concern you."

Mihawk replied coldly.

Earlier, he had felt someone’s gaze on him. Following the direction, he looked up and saw something high in the sky. At that distance, even he could only make out a rough silhouette — it seemed like some kind of bird-like creature?

No... given the size at this range, it couldn’t possibly be an ordinary bird. At the very least, it had to be an extremely massive creature. And on its back, there appeared to be an extremely small human figure.

An ordinary bird wouldn’t have triggered his instincts like this.

It had to be the person on top. Just who was it? And why would they appear above this battlefield at a time like this?

"You’re as cold as ever~~~ We’re supposed to be on the same side, aren’t we? Hahahaha."

Doflamingo spread his arms and laughed loudly.

"I’m not on the same side as any of you. I’m only here to fulfill my agreement with the Marines. Don’t bother me, or I might just cut you down before the war even starts."

Mihawk crossed his arms, his tone icy.

"Ehh~ How heartless. Scary Scary~"

Doflamingo clicked his tongue and backed off, no longer trying to make conversation.

Right now, he looked full of confidence. The more arrogant he acted now, the more miserable he would become later. Rorschach had no intention of letting him off easily.

Execution Platform.

"Is everything ready?"

"Yes, sir!"

"Hand me the Den Den Mushi."

Sengoku nodded and took the Den Den Mushi from a Marine.

"There’s something I need to announce to everyone first."

Sengoku’s voice echoed across the entire battlefield through the Den Den Mushi. The visual Den Den Mushi on various islands were also broadcasting the scene live. News reporters swallowed nervously as they stared at the screens.

The Marines turned to look up at the execution platform.

Sengoku then began revealing Ace’s true parentage.

He asked Ace who his father was. Ace answered "Whitebeard." Sengoku refuted it and dropped the bombshell — that Ace’s real father was the legendary Pirate King, Gol D. Roger.

Even though Rorschach had already seen this scene once before, watching it play out live from above still felt interesting.

However, the Marines below and the civilians watching the broadcast worldwide were anything but calm.

Everyone broke out in cold sweat, their faces filled with shock.

Different people had different reactions — some cheered, some looked delighted at the chaos, and some simply watched the drama unfold.

After Sengoku finished his speech, the Marines erupted in unprecedented cheers.

"Fleet Admiral Sengoku! Report!"

"The Gates of Justice opened on their own without any orders! We also can’t contact the power room!"

A Marine ran up to the back of the execution platform and shouted.

"What?!"

Sengoku turned around in shock.

But there was no time to deal with that now. The war was about to begin.

"Send people to check the power room immediately!"

Sengoku ordered at once.

"Yes, sir!"

The Marine turned and ran off.

A short while later.

The Marines stood ready, eyes locked on the sea. But the surface was completely calm — no ships in sight.

Only Rorschach, watching from high above, could see the full picture.

"Hahaha... They’re here."

In Rorschach’s vision, a massive fleet was slowly advancing toward Marine Headquarters. It wouldn’t be long before they entered the Marines’ line of sight.

Sengoku’s previously calm face now had two drops of sweat rolling down.

It was far too abnormal. So much time had passed, yet Whitebeard still hadn’t appeared.

The three Admirals below remained relaxed. Aokiji was slouching as usual, while the other two had their legs crossed. Only Aokiji looked completely uninterested, staring off to the side. No wonder he would later defect from the Marines — he was probably being ostracized by the other two.

Rorschach thought with dark amusement.

"It’s so quiet..."

Boa Hancock spoke in a flat tone.

"Too unnatural."

Doflamingo grinned widely, licking his lips.

At that moment, the sea in the distance began to fill with thick fog.

"They’re here!"

The Marines on the watchtower spotted the ships through the fog and immediately sounded the alarm.

"All units! Prepare for battle!"

Cannons on the warships and along the bay all turned toward the direction of the ships.

"They appeared so suddenly... Where the hell did they come from?!"

Sengoku’s face was filled with shock. He couldn’t understand how Whitebeard’s forces had gotten this close without being detected.

The sea was supposed to be flat. For them to appear this close meant Whitebeard’s people had used some method to completely avoid the Marines’ surveillance.

The Marines in the bay also let out surprised shouts.

"What’s there to panic about? How pathetic."

Vice Admiral Tsuru spoke with disdain.

This was the worst batch of Marines she had ever seen — at least among the regular soldiers.

Just then, several bubbles began rising and bursting in the previously calm waters of the bay.

The three Admirals finally reacted, all turning to look toward the water.

Then, an even larger bubble rose and burst, sending ripples across the surface.

"Don’t tell me..."

Sengoku muttered, sweat dripping from his forehead.

"He’s going to appear from somewhere we didn’t expect, isn’t he?"

Garp whispered to Tsuru beside him.

"Did we set up the formation wrong?"

Tsuru gritted her teeth, unable to hide her embarrassment.

She and Sengoku had been in charge of the defensive layout. They never expected to leave such a massive hole.

The enemy wasn’t coming from the front. Instead, they had been hiding underwater from the very beginning, bypassing the outer defenses and heading straight for the center.

Another massive bubble rose from the water and burst. Immediately after, a huge ship emerged from beneath the surface.

The ship, which had been floating in mid-air for a moment, crashed down heavily, sending a huge splash toward the Marines who were staring in shock.

Two ships. Three ships. Four ships.

Four large ships had entered the bay.

But Rorschach knew there was still one more hidden below.

Under everyone’s gaze, Whitebeard slowly walked to the front of the Moby Dick.

"It’s been a while, Sengoku."

"My precious son is still safe, right? Gurarararara."

Whitebeard greeted Sengoku the moment he appeared, letting out his signature laugh.

The ordinary soldiers felt their courage drain away just from looking at Whitebeard standing there.

He then stabbed his naginata into the deck behind him, lowered his stance, planted his feet firmly, and clenched his fists before smashing them into the air on both sides.

Crack... crack... crack...

The air itself shattered. The shockwaves rippled outward and violently shook the seawater.

The water on both sides of the bay rose rapidly under the power of the quake, quickly surpassing the height of Marine Headquarters itself.

And with that—

The curtain on the Summit War was officially raised.
