Chapter 140: Taking Away

There's an event this week. If, at the end of the week, we rank T50 and above on PS rankings, I'll release 5 bonus chapters. It's up to you now, xD.

This is different from a normal bonus, by the way.

◇◇◇◇◇◇

For the spectators, today's fights were especially fresh.

Because the winners were no longer Chino and Fūshin.

It had always been them in the past, and watching the same result too many times became boring.

The spectators did not care about Nawaki and Nonō's identities. They only cheered for their excellent performances.

Before long, the referee came out and announced that today's fights had ended.

The spectators left one after another, still wanting more.

Nonō and Chino left the arena and returned backstage.

"Are you shinobi from Kumogakure?"

Fūshin finally could not hold back and took the initiative to ask.

"We're Konoha shinobi."

Natsuki could roughly guess what they were thinking and answered casually.

Fūshin and Chino subconsciously exchanged a glance, both understanding what the other was thinking.

They had long planned to escape from the fighting arena.

But they had never found an opportunity.

If Natsuki and the others were from Kumogakure, they would hesitate.

En was one of the famous wealthy merchants in the Land of Lightning and could influence Kumogakure.

But they were Konoha shinobi.

If they could follow them to Konoha, then even if En knew, there would be nothing he could do.

Konoha was one of the Five Great Villages, and it was far from the Land of Lightning.

At that moment, En walked in.

Fūshin and Chino immediately fell silent.

"Welcome, honored guests."

En looked at Natsuki and the others and said with a smile, "Especially the two of you. Your performances today won the spectators' applause."

"Fūshin and Chino are also quite strong."

Nawaki waved his hand and said, "Even in the Five Great Villages, they would be first-rate talents."

He was not flattering them.

Fūshin had Typhoon Release, and Chino had the Ketsuryūgan.

Possessing a Kekkei Genkai already surpassed most shinobi, and they were still young. Their future achievements definitely would not be poor.

"I won't say too much. I'll take the three of you to collect your prize money."

En changed the topic and said.

He did not know Natsuki's purpose. Right now, he only wanted to send them away.

But to his surprise, things went unexpectedly smoothly.

Because Natsuki and the others really took the money and left the fighting arena without saying much.

"Did I overthink it?"

En thought for a moment and stopped dwelling on it.

But just in case, he planned to strengthen security for the next two days.

Although it might not be useful.

If that person really was Natsuki, then the only people in the entire Land of Lightning who could stop him were Kumogakure's shinobi.

It was just that under the current circumstances, there was no need to contact Kumogakure.

And by the time they arrived, Natsuki and the others would have already returned to Konoha.

After leaving En's line of sight, Natsuki stopped.

"What's wrong?"

Nawaki asked in confusion.

"You two walk around here for a while."

Natsuki answered, "I have something to handle."

He was not worried about Nawaki and Nonō's safety.

Because for convenience, he had brought Asahino's squad with him.

They had just been hiding in the dark the whole time, so Nawaki and Nonō did not know.

"What?"

Nawaki had only asked halfway when Natsuki disappeared.

He could not help scratching his head, feeling that Natsuki was being mysterious.

Natsuki had kept Electromagnetic Wave Sensing active, so he had not lost track of Fūshin and Chino's locations.

In his perception, En spoke a few words to them before turning and leaving.

They returned to their dormitory.

The dormitory was also inside the fighting arena.

After activating Presence Concealment, Natsuki smoothly arrived at their dormitory.

"Chino, have you made up your mind?"

Fūshin asked in a low voice.

"This is a very good opportunity."

Chino bit her lip and said, "We can't escape on our own. We need help from outsiders."

"But will they help us?"

Fūshin asked with worry.

Chino shook her head and said, "Judging from the brief contact we had, the boy who fought you has a good personality. Maybe he will help."

Nawaki did not hide himself, so his personality was obvious.

And that kind of personality often gave people the impression of being warm-hearted.

"We'll sneak out later and ask them."

Chino took a deep breath and said, "No matter what, we have to try."

At that moment, a knock sounded at the door.

Chino and Fūshin were immediately startled.

Their expressions both turned ugly.

If En had heard what they had just said, they would be badly injured even if they did not die.

"I'll open the door."

Chino made up her mind, walked to the entrance, and opened the door.

When she saw Natsuki, she froze.

"It's you?"

Fūshin also looked surprised.

They had just been talking about Natsuki and the others, and in the next moment, Natsuki had appeared before them.

"My reason for coming to you is simple."

Natsuki went straight to the point and said, "I admire your strength."

Chino and Fūshin's hearts shook.

What did that mean?

Did Natsuki want to take them away?

"With your talent, staying in this fighting arena is a waste."

Natsuki continued, "Have you ever thought about going somewhere else?"

"We have!"

Fūshin said impatiently.

"En is very strong."

Chino was comparatively calmer. Suppressing her excitement, she asked, "Can you really take us away?"

"I haven't introduced myself yet. I'm Kira Natsuki."

Natsuki smiled and said.

"Kira Natsuki?"

Fūshin paused slightly.

He felt as though he had heard that name somewhere before.

"You're the Natsuki who defeated Hanzō?"

Chino reacted immediately and asked with wide eyes.

Hearing Hanzō's name, Fūshin immediately remembered who Natsuki was.

After all, his fame during this period was too great.

Even though they were far away in the Land of Lightning, they had heard about him.

If it was Natsuki, then they naturally no longer needed to fear En.

"We'll go with you!"

Fūshin immediately said.

Chino also nodded in agreement.

Natsuki thought to himself that this had gone even more smoothly than expected.

He had to thank En's usual behavior for that.

Even if Natsuki had not come, Fūshin and Chino would have defected sooner or later. It was only a matter of time.

"Follow me."

Natsuki led them out of the fighting arena.

Nawaki and Nonō had not gone far.

They soon reunited.

"Chino and Fūshin?"

Nawaki asked curiously, "Why are you here too?"

"They're coming back to Konoha with us."

Natsuki explained.

Nawaki looked stunned.

What was going on?

How had they ended up taking them back to Konoha after one fight?

"Chino and Fūshin will explain the details to you."

Natsuki raised a brow and said, "Head out of the city now."

"Did En catch up?"

Chino sensed something unusual and asked nervously.

"He has already discovered your disappearance."

Natsuki nodded and said, "He'll probably catch up soon."

"Then what should we do?"

Fūshin subconsciously asked.

"Don't worry."

Nawaki said without concern, "En? How could he possibly be Natsuki's opponent?"

Hearing Natsuki's name, Chino and Fūshin immediately thought of the rumors about him, and their hearts settled quite a bit.

"You go first."

Natsuki said casually.

Nawaki and the others nodded, then walked toward the city gate.

Natsuki stood where he was. He did not wait long before a gloomy-faced En appeared before him with his subordinates.

"What is the meaning of this?"

En questioned him.

"Fūshin and Chino said you usually exploit them too much, so they asked me to take them to Konoha."

Natsuki paused and said, "You should ask yourself what you have done."

"They are my property. What I do with them is my freedom!"

En said coldly.

"What I do is also my freedom."

Natsuki chuckled and said, "If you defeat me, you can take them back."

En could not help frowning.

But since things had reached this point, he had only two choices. Fight, or not fight.

He could not give up Chino, so he could only fight.

After all, Chino was his daughter.

"Don't think that just because you defeated Hanzō, you can act so arrogant!"

En activated the Ketsuryūgan without hesitation.

An invisible mental shockwave attacked Natsuki.

Figure Eyes!

Natsuki's eyes trembled.

Two mental shockwaves collided in the air, stirring invisible ripples.

A battle between genjutsu shinobi was a contest of Yin Release chakra strength.

Clearly, Figure Eyes and the Ketsuryūgan's genjutsu were evenly matched.

Natsuki was not surprised, but En's heart immediately sank.

He had never heard that Natsuki had such skill in genjutsu.

Among the rumors about Natsuki, they all said he had extremely strong swordsmanship, archery, and Water Release, as well as a secret technique that could make ninja tools explode.

En's thoughts moved, and his body suddenly rushed forward.

His speed reached its limit, and a ninja blade stabbed toward Natsuki's heart without hesitation.

With a clang, Natsuki held Minazuki and blocked the blade.

En was not surprised. He swung the ninja blade again, slicing upward toward Natsuki's neck.

The Ketsuryūgan was similar to the Sharingan. Aside from using genjutsu, it also possessed astonishing perception.

En's idea was simple. He would use the Ketsuryūgan's powerful insight and defeat Natsuki with swordsmanship.

But he soon realized he had been thinking too simply.

Because his lightning-fast continuous attacks were all blocked by Natsuki.

And Natsuki blocked them with extreme ease.

"You can actually keep up with the Ketsuryūgan's perception?"

En opened the distance and could not help asking.

Natsuki smiled faintly and did not explain.

Although he had not unlocked the Sharingan yet and did not have Observation Haki, his Mind's Eye came with danger prediction.

In essence, it was similar to the perception abilities of the Sharingan and Ketsuryūgan.

En cut his palm with the ninja blade. As blood flowed out, he immediately formed hand seals.

Secret Technique: Blood Dragon Technique!

A small stream of blood that seemed unimpressive immediately boiled.

The smell of blood spread.

The sound of flowing liquid rang out, and in front of En, blood-red light shot into the sky.

The next second, it condensed into six blood dragons.

Calling them dragons was not entirely accurate. They looked more like snakes.

The six blood dragons roared and flew forward.

Their massive bodies crashed toward Natsuki head-on.

As the six blood dragons moved, the blood they carried surged like waves, sealing off the space around him.

Natsuki faintly felt the blood inside his body stirring.

He knew very well that the most dangerous blood secret technique was not the Blood Dragon Technique, but the Human Blood Bomb.

Once he was hit by a blood secret technique and injured, he would fall into genjutsu and turn into a bomb.

En could remotely detonate him, creating tremendous power.

Hadō #88, Hiryū Gekizoku Shinten Raihō!

Natsuki raised his hand.

Vast chakra transformed into a massive straight beam.

An explosion erupted.

The six blood dragons instantly turned into a sky full of blood mist.

A large amount of blood splashed down.

En felt his scalp go numb.

From his perspective, Natsuki had merely raised his hand casually, and his six blood dragons had exploded.

He could not understand what kind of hand seal-free ninjutsu could have such power.

Fortunately, although the blood dragons had exploded, the blood was still there.

He suddenly waved his hand, and the blood on the ground surged up again, transforming back into six blood dragons.

Natsuki's vision was once more filled with crimson.

He suddenly thought of an interesting way to use his abilities.

Natsuki casually waved his hand.

Six Swords of the Thunder God appeared, but they disappeared again in an instant.

Because the six blood dragons blocked his vision, En did not notice this scene.

The abilities Natsuki used were Unlimited Blade Works and Invisible Air.

Six invisible Swords of the Thunder God flew out, but they bypassed the six blood dragons and headed straight for En.

In an instant, En felt his hair stand on end.

Danger descended.

He only heard the sound of air being cut, followed by an explosion.

"Damn it!"

En's Ketsuryūgan caught sight of countless fragments wrapped in fierce wind flying toward him.

At the critical moment, he controlled the nearby blood to block in front of him.

But it was still not enough.

The blood was quickly pierced through, and many fragments struck his body.

En let out a muffled groan. His entire body was in pain, and a large amount of blood poured out.

Fortunately, he was skilled in blood secret techniques.

An ordinary shinobi would have fainted after losing this much blood.

But he reacted quickly and forced the flowing blood back into his body.

At the same time, the six blood dragons crashed down toward Natsuki.

An explosion erupted.

The ground beneath Natsuki shook, then cracks spread outward like a spiderweb.

His entire body was also swallowed by a large amount of blood.

En stared fixedly at Natsuki.

As long as Natsuki was injured, he could control him and win this battle.

But as the blood dispersed, what appeared before his eyes was an unharmed Natsuki.

"This... this is impossible!"

En subconsciously cried out.

"There is nothing impossible about it."

Natsuki shook his head and said.

The power of Secret Technique: Blood Dragon Technique was indeed great, but he had used four layers of defense in an instant.

Reinforcement Magecraft, Tekkai, Mana Burst, and Armament Haki.

In truth, he could have dodged, but taking it head-on looked cooler.

At the very least, En had now lost the will to resist.

He had already been injured by the combination of Invisible Air and Broken Phantasm.

Then he had seen Natsuki withstand his strongest Blood Dragon Technique head-on.

With the two piled together, he naturally had no more thoughts of fighting.

"For Chino's sake, I won't kill you."

Natsuki said casually, "Rest assured. Chino will definitely live better with me than she did with you."

After all, En was Chino's father.

If Natsuki killed him and Chino learned the truth in the future, she might develop a grudge.

Natsuki did not want a subordinate who held resentment toward him.

Moreover, killing En brought him no benefit.

After saying that, Natsuki turned and left.

En could only watch him leave, unable to do anything.

As for his subordinates, their strength was inferior to his, so they naturally could not help.

During the battle just now, they had not even dared to interfere.

After all, they were only subordinates. There was no need to risk their lives for En.

At the city gate.

Nawaki, Nonō, Chino, and Fūshin stopped.

"What a strong smell of blood!"

Nawaki's gaze suddenly sharpened as he said.

"It's En's blood secret technique!"

Fūshin immediately said.

"Blood secret techniques are secret techniques that only shinobi of the Chinoike clan can learn and use. They use blood as a medium, and combined with the Ketsuryūgan, they are very powerful."

Chino said with a solemn expression, "En must be fighting Natsuki-sama."

She did not call Natsuki by name like Nawaki and Nonō, but added an honorific.

After all, Natsuki had saved them from En, making him worthy of such respect.

"What a strange secret technique."

Nawaki was not particularly worried and asked, "You also have the Ketsuryūgan. What is your relationship with En?"

"He brought me out from the Chinoike clan."

Chino shook her head and said, "He never told me what relationship he had with me."

Fūshin immediately said, "With how he usually treated you, even if there is a relationship, it would be an enemy's relationship."

"How did he usually treat you?"

Nawaki asked again.

He truly did not quite understand why Chino and Fūshin would follow them back to Konoha.

After all, this was where they had lived for many years. It could be considered their home.

Fūshin did not hide anything and explained the lives they usually lived.

"That's too much!"

After listening, Nawaki said indignantly, "He didn't treat you like people at all. He only treated you as tools to make money!"

Nonō nodded firmly, expressing her agreement.

"It's fine. Once you join Konoha, you definitely won't be treated like that!"

Nawaki promised.

Hearing this, Chino and Fūshin immediately felt relieved.

They had just learned who Nawaki was. He was the grandson of Senju Hashirama, the God of Shinobi, so what he said naturally would not be false.

"The battle stopped. That fast?"

Chino suddenly asked in surprise.

That intense chakra fluctuation had already faded, and the smell of blood in the air was no longer as strong.

"That's normal."

Nawaki said as if it were only natural, "En isn't Hanzō. Being able to last one minute against Natsuki is already quite impressive."

"Natsuki-sama is really amazing!"

Chino's face showed anticipation for the future.

"Natsuki!"

At that moment, Nawaki noticed Natsuki walking toward them.

"The matter has been settled. We can return to Konoha now."

Natsuki smiled and said.

"Is En dead?"

Nawaki nodded slightly and asked.

"No."

Natsuki explained, "I only defeated him. He is a wealthy merchant of the Land of Lightning. Killing him would not comply with shinobi rules."

"That's true."

Nawaki naturally accepted this reason.

This was the mindset of traditional shinobi. They did not kill non-shinobi, nor did they kill any potential employer.
