Chapter 84: Ninja Academy Graduation

A new day.

Natsuki and Nonō arrived at Konoha Hospital.

They walked into the laboratory and saw Tsunade busily working.

Natsuki's gaze moved downward, and he noticed five test tubes on the experiment table.

They had different colors and looked strangely beautiful.

"These are the five most poisonous toxins Konoha can currently find."

Tsunade introduced them and said, "As for poisons outside Konoha, I've already asked Anbu to help collect them."

"Then what should Nonō and I do?"

Natsuki nodded and asked.

"Mix them in different combinations to prepare an antidote."

Tsunade raised her hand and pointed at a test tube not far away. "If it reacts with the extracted Hanzō poison, then it counts as a success."

"Alright."

After Natsuki finished speaking, he and Nonō began putting on protective equipment.

"The main reason I'm having you participate is so you can learn and accumulate experience."

Tsunade looked at them and said, "You also can't fall behind on your training. From now on, you'll make antidotes with me in the morning."

Natsuki and Nonō nodded at the same time.

Winter vacation quickly reached its end amid antidote creation and training.

Time reached January. Class A, Year Four's third semester, which was also the final semester, officially began.

Natsuki, Uzumaki Kushina, Minato, and Nonō had all decided to apply for early graduation.

At that time, they would be able to form teams together with Nawaki's Class A, Year Six.

Registration day.

After a winter vacation of silence, the Ninja Academy became lively again.

"Minato."

After Natsuki entered the Ninja Academy, he saw a familiar figure.

"Natsuki, Kushina, long time no see."

Minato turned around and greeted them with a bright smile.

Nonō had not come with them to register. She had gone to Konoha Hospital's medical ninja training class.

"I feel like I haven't seen you for one or two months. What have you been doing during this time?"

Kushina asked curiously.

"I've been learning the Second Hokage's Flying Thunder God Technique from Hokage-sama."

Minato thought for a moment, then answered without hiding it.

Kushina immediately showed a surprised expression.

Although she was not originally from Konoha, she had heard Ishida Yū talk about Senju Tobirama's deeds during class.

Among them, he had mentioned Tobirama's most iconic ninjutsu. Aside from Water Release, it was the Flying Thunder God Technique.

That was a rare space-time ninjutsu.

Anything involving time and space was naturally extraordinary.

"Unfortunately, the difficulty is too high. I still haven't gotten started."

Minato sighed and said.

"After all, it's a ninjutsu with S-rank learning difficulty."

Natsuki said with a smile, "The hardship now is for the future. Once you learn the Flying Thunder God Technique, your strength will definitely surge."

"Mm."

Minato nodded.

At the same time, he also felt slightly strange.

Because Natsuki was very calm. Even after knowing that he was learning the Flying Thunder God Technique, he did not show much change in expression.

Was he confident that even if Minato learned the Flying Thunder God Technique, he still could not beat him?

For a moment, Minato instead felt a lot of pressure.

But no matter what, he had to learn the Flying Thunder God Technique first.

After all, if he did not learn it, then he truly would not be able to beat him.

After the three of them finished registering, they went their separate ways.

Minato went to find Hiruzen.

Kushina went to find Mito.

Natsuki went to Konoha Hospital to make antidotes with Tsunade.

After half a month of effort, along with his hints, Tsunade had successfully discovered two effective poisons.

However, they were still far from success.

But there was enough time, so there was still a great deal of hope.

The most troublesome poison was one that came from Chiyo's puppet poison.

But calling it the most troublesome was not necessarily accurate.

Konoha and Sunagakure were currently at war. Sooner or later, the scale of the war would escalate.

At that time, just like in the original story, a poison and antidote battle between Chiyo and Tsunade would appear.

Obtaining the puppet poison Chiyo created would then be very easy.

The days after school started did not change much.

Natsuki still prepared antidotes in the morning, then trained in Hanzō's swordsmanship and learned Water Release: Water Formation Wall in the afternoon.

Time finally entered March.

The Ninja Academy welcomed graduation season.

Class A, Year Four.

After all morning classes ended, Ishida Yū did not leave.

As usual, he still had one matter to announce.

"Students, after the final exam ends, you will advance to Year Five, while the Year Six students will take the graduation exam."

Ishida Yū slowly said, "Anyone among you who wants to participate in the graduation exam early, please raise your hand to apply."

After he finished speaking, he looked at Natsuki and Minato.

In his view, the two of them had long been able to apply for early graduation. In fact, even during Year Two or Year Three, their strength had already been enough.

But they had never applied.

Just when he thought the two of them would not apply, Natsuki and Minato raised their hands.

The classroom fell silent.

What followed was discussion, but no one felt surprised, including Onodera.

They all felt that Natsuki and Minato were qualified to participate in the graduation exam.

More accurately, they were instead surprised that the two of them were only applying for early graduation so late.

"Only Natsuki and Minato?"

Ishida Yū nodded, then asked.

"Sensei."

Natsuki raised his hand again and said, "There are also Kushina and Nonō."

Although Kushina and Nonō rarely came to class anymore, they were still students of Class A, Year Four.

Ishida Yū had already expected this and remained very calm.

Just then, an unexpected little girl raised her hand, Uzumaki Kae.

Natsuki and Minato looked at each other, both somewhat surprised.

"Kae, are you sure you want to apply for early graduation?"

Ishida Yū could not help asking.

"I'm sure."

Kae nodded and said, "I want to become teammates with Kushina."

"I will apply to Hokage-sama. Whether it succeeds or not will depend on Hokage-sama's arrangement."

Ishida Yū did not refuse after hearing this.

Although Kae was a transfer student, her strength was not bad. Passing the graduation exam would not be a problem at all.

"Does anyone else want to apply?"

Ishida Yū asked for final confirmation.

Onodera hesitated for a moment, but in the end, he chose to give up.

If he participated in the graduation exam, his chances of passing were actually very high.

But before graduation, he wanted to take first place once.

After all, for so many years, he had always been beaten down by Natsuki and Minato.

"Class dismissed."

Seeing that no one else raised a hand, Ishida Yū turned and left Class A, Year Four's classroom.

He did not return to his own office, instead heading directly to the Hokage's office.

"Hokage-sama."

Ishida Yū knocked on the door and walked in.

"Is someone applying for early graduation?"

Hiruzen's heart stirred, and he asked.

Ever since the Ninja Academy was established, team assignments had been handled by the Hokage.

Because team assignments involved many bonds and interests, and could even affect Konoha.

For example, his three students, Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Orochimaru.

Now that it was graduation season, the only reason Ishida had come over was early graduation.

And in the Class A, Year Four that Ishida taught, there were Natsuki, Minato, Kushina, Nonō, and others.

"Yes, Hokage-sama."

Ishida Yū immediately explained that Natsuki and the others had applied for early graduation.

"There's also Uzumaki Kae?"

Hiruzen tapped the Hokage's desk and said, "I approve. Notify them to attend the graduation exam on time."

"Yes, Hokage-sama."

Ishida Yū bowed slightly, then turned and left.

"Go call Tsunade over."

Hiruzen pondered for a moment before speaking.

"Yes, Hokage-sama."

An Anbu ninja appeared, then quickly disappeared.

"What did you call me for?"

Before long, Tsunade pushed open the door and walked into the Hokage's office.

She had been at Konoha Hospital during this period, so she arrived very quickly.

"Natsuki and the others applied for early graduation. I plan to put Natsuki, Nawaki, and Nonō on the same team."

Hiruzen asked with a smile, "Should you be their team leader, or should Orochimaru be their team leader?"

Tsunade immediately fell into thought.

With her relationship with Orochimaru as teammates, it was about the same no matter who became the team leader.

But about the same did not mean there was no difference.

"Let Orochimaru be their team leader."

Tsunade finally made her decision.

Although Nonō was more suited to becoming her student, Natsuki and Nawaki were better off following Orochimaru.

Besides, the two of them had long since become Orochimaru's students and had learned quite a bit of swordsmanship and ninjutsu from him.

If Tsunade took the two of them away, Orochimaru might fall out with her.

Hiruzen nodded slightly.

Tsunade's answer was within his expectations.

In fact, he was also more inclined to have Orochimaru serve as their team leader.

After all, they had already established good bonds with each other.

Hiruzen understood Orochimaru very well.

He was different from Tsunade and Jiraiya, and usually seemed more gloomy.

That kind of personality could easily lead to problems.

But with Nawaki and Natsuki around, they could balance his personality and prevent Orochimaru from making the wrong choice.

"What about you? Do you want to become a team leader? Orochimaru and Jiraiya will both become team leaders."

Hiruzen said again, "This year's graduating students are still quite good in terms of strength."

"No, I don't have that much time."

Tsunade refused and said, "Although I won't lead a team, I can take Nonō as my student."

"Since you've already said that, I won't force it."

Hiruzen paused for a moment and asked, "Has there been any progress with the antidote?"

"There has been some, but not much."

Tsunade shook her head and said.

"It's fine. Some progress is better than none."

Hiruzen said quite open-mindedly.

He did not have too much confidence that Tsunade could create an antidote, but if she really succeeded, it would be an unexpected joy.

That afternoon.

Tsunade arrived at Mito's residence and told Natsuki and the others about this matter.

Kushina noticed something was wrong and hurriedly asked, "What about me?"

"Kushina, for the time being, you won't be assigned teammates."

Tsunade explained, "We'll talk about it after you learn fūinjutsu."

"But. but."

Kushina subconsciously looked at Natsuki.

"Although we've graduated, when there are no missions, we can still train together. It won't be any different from usual."

Natsuki comforted her.

"Alright."

Kushina nodded in disappointment.

"After you learn fūinjutsu, if you want to go out on missions, you can go together with Natsuki and the others."

Seeing this, Tsunade spoke.

Although Konoha assigned ninja into four-person squads, some missions required multiple ninja squads to work together.

In a certain sense, Tsunade had not lied to Kushina.

After hearing this, Kushina's mood improved quite a bit.
