Chapter 134: Marriage Between Sona and Sairaorg[Bonus]
Those words were remarkably effective, and the two bickering women went completely silent.
As veteran members of the Burial Agency, both of them, like Dulio had joined when Yasuhiro first established the organization.
The Burial Agency served as Yasuhiro's personal vanguard.
Having spent so much time alongside him, they had come to understand his temperament and character better than anyone.
A leader's nature and methods were always reflected in the way they governed their subordinates.
Within the Burial Agency, Yasuhiro wielded undeniable authority.
His word was law and no one dared challenge him.
Unapologetically domineering, he tolerated zero defiance within his ranks, refusing to yield even to the four great Seraph including Gabriel and the rest of the high council.
Under normal circumstances, Yasuhiro did not mind joking with his subordinates, letting minor matters slide without issue.
However, when it came to vital assignments, no one dared treat his direct orders lightly.
To forge an iron willed unit that executed commands without hesitation, Yasuhiro had purged and restructured the Burial Agency more than once.
Those overhauls had left the surviving members with deep awe.
Especially the women...
After all, considering the bloody trials he had unleashed across Europe and his uncompromising methods, his internal cleanups were far from simple dismissals.
They were almost always accompanied by his bloody love.
"Let's move. Don't keep the boss waiting."
Having ended the argument, Dulio led the massive, orderly and imposing army out of the dimensional gate, advancing straight toward the Bael clan's territory.
Tens of thousands of Burial Agency soldiers marched in grand formation.
Those pure blood devil aristocrats likely never imagined in their wildest dreams that their natural enemies from the Church could breach the core of their dimension so easily.
Spacially, the fourth heaven was directly linked to the Bael domain.
During the great war of the Three Factions, Heaven's army led by the God of the Bible had used this exact passage to march straight into the Underworld without resistance.
Following the end of that conflict, the devils had reinforced this spatial rift with multiple defensive layers to prevent a repeat of that surprise invasion.
Unfortunately, those defensive reinforcements did not hold up as the devils had hoped.
Under the concentrated might of Yasuhiro and the Burial Agency, the spatial connecting this point to Heaven had become even more fragile than it had been during the ancient war.
An attack launched from this vector would completely catch the devils unprepared, as they had long neglected the area.
Back then, the Underworld had maintained at least some vigilance over the gate.
Now, with the Bael army having pulled back its garrison years ago, the devils had completely erased it from their concerns.
That blind spot allowed the Burial Agency to secure a massive bridgehead without resistance.
Outside the territory, the night remained heavy and dark.
In stark contrast, the main estate of the Bael clan, especially the grand manor housing the clan head, blazed with bright illumination.
Laughter and banter echoed throughout the estate.
The banquet hall overflowed with rare delicacies, many of which existed only in human legends.
The hall gradually quieted down as Sona stepped into view, dressed in an elegant and bridal gown.
Many of the young devils present found themselves captivated by her beauty.
Beside Sona stood not her usual peerage attendants but the other central figure of the day, Sairaorg.
He had traded his usual training gear for a sharp groom's suit, perfectly tailored for the occasion.
"Congratulations. In just a few more years, Sairaorg's strength will surpass both of ours."
"The Bael clan is truly about to produce a Satan."
Lord Sitri spoke with genuine emotion.
"Haha, congratulations to both of us. He will be your son-in-law as well. There is no need for such formalities between our families."
The one responding was Lord Bael.
"President..."
Sona's peerage members, who had been detained in the Underworld, stood grouped together nearby.
Watching from a short distance, their hearts ached for Sona with a completely blank expression.
They wanted nothing more than to step in and stop it but their power was far too small.
The banquet hall was packed with upper tier nobility and even the lowest among the guests were high class devils.
The Sitri peerage simply lacked the strength to intervene.
"Sona..."
Seated on the elevated dais alongside the other three Great Maou, Serafall looked at her sister with sorrow, seeing her look so hollow compared to the lively girl she had raised.
Even with her heart aching, Serafall didn't regret her decision.
It went beyond personal feelings, tying directly into the reputation of the Underworld and the stability of their clan, no matter how impulsively she might have acted in the past.
When it came to matters of such critical importance, she could not act recklessly or indulge her sister as she had done throughout their childhood.
While Serafall rarely carried herself like a ruler on normal days, she understood the weight of her throne and would never gamble with its responsibilities.
The same unwavering resolve held true for her and the other three Great Maou alike.
(A/N: Please don't kill me! I promise, Yasuhiro will be there in next chapter!)
