DxD: The Holy Knight!

Chapter 112: Azazel

After ending the call with Dulio, Yasuhiro left his home.

After walking for a while, he came to a secluded path leading to a grove of trees.

"Oh, I thought you were just ignoring my invitation."

A dejected figure emerged from the shadows of the trees.

It was a middle aged man, the kind of good for nothing people see in japan.

"If you amplify your aura any further, you'll likely be met with Gabriel's light spear." Yasuhiro warned.

Before Yasuhiro stood Azazel, the governor general of grigori. He was a fallen angel with twelve black wings and a famous figure in the bible.

"Gabriel has always been unfriendly to me. Even when I was still a seraph, she rarely paid any attention to me." Azazel noted.

He continued that after he fell from grace and became a fallen angel, her feelings towards him went from having no goodwill to feeling extreme disgust.

After all, he also caused many of her subordinates to fall as well.

"I wonder what purpose the governor general of grigori has in coming here," Yasuhiro asked knowingly.

He was perfectly aware of the purpose Azazel had in mind.

"None of my subordinates ever give me any peace of mind."

"Whether it was Raynare or Kokabiel who is always up to no good in the dark," Azazel sighed.

"The fact that the saint who embraces darkness appeared in this town truly surprised me."

"Furthermore, the angel reincarnation technology you developed can even reincarnate fallen angels back into angels."

"Which undoubtedly shakes the foundation of grigori to some extent." Azazel said seriously.

"If some radicals in grigori, such as Kokabiel, learn about this thing, it'll be inevitable that they will resort to underhanded tactics in secret."

"Judging from your appearance, you don't seem too worried about the possibility." Yasuhiro observed.

Azazel's continued dismissively, "Even if the angel reincarnation could reincarnate a fallen angel as an angel, so what?"

"Leaving aside how many fallen angels actually want to be reincarnated as angels, given their mentality and their sins, it wouldn't matter."

Reincarnating as an angel was destined to be futile for them.

Sooner or later, they'd just fall and become fallen angels once again.

"My concerns about the angel reincarnation technology stem from radicals like Kokabiel, since the emergence of this would also be of considerable benefit to us fallen angels."

He seemed to sense Yasuhiro's somewhat impatient gaze, so he went straight to the point and stated the true purpose of his invitation.

"After learning from Baraqiel that you aren't only the saint but also the vessel of the god, I'd like to know your stance on the matter."

Azazel spoke seriously.

He was shocked by the news of god's presence when he learned it from Baraqiel.

If he hadn't heard this information from his most trusted subordinate, he would've suspected that it was just a sick prank.

Baraqiel's serious demeanor suggested he wasn't the type to joke around about such things.

"Does my stance matter?" Yasuhiro asked.

A half smile played on his lips as he answered the question.

"I don't know what Michael means by letting you out at this time. It makes it seem like he is afraid the world won't fall into chaos."

"When the god was alive, he didn't release his full power, precisely because he was afraid of causing great chaos among the three factions." Azazel explained.

"Your identity is special. With multiple identities, you could disrupt the existing power structure of the factions."

"Even though you aren't particularly powerful in terms of raw strength, sometimes strength isn't enough to solve everything."

"Among the three factions, there are countless worshippers who have been looking forward to god's return."

"Therefore, your position is of unprecedented importance at this time." Azazel sighed again.

Judging from his appearance, he probably wouldn't let this go unless they got to the bottom of things today.

"You are the first super class being created by the heaven and is also the only one of that caliber that still exists."

Azazel had long yearned for the super class but unfortunately, the moment he was created by the god, his potential limit was fixed just like Gabriel, Michael and the others.

Otherwise, after such a long period of time since the great war ended, and with young ones like Sirzechs being able to become super devils, there was no reason why they couldn't achieve the same.

"Personally, I really like the seemingly peaceful world we live in now." Yasuhiro replied.

Azazel breathed a sigh of relief.

At least the trip hadn't been in vain...

He didn't want the great war, which had finally been quelled to reignite and cause chaos.

At that time, there wouldn't even be any time left to study sacred gears.

"Farewell then. Just a friendly reminder, your girlfriend's clan has been getting along too closely with the Bael clan lately, and they seem to be planning something that will be detrimental to you."

"There is even a connection to the maou in this." Azazel warned.

"Whether it is the Bael clan, the Sitri clan or even the four maou, if they anger me, I wouldn't mind letting them understand." Yasuhiro stated coldly.

Azazel knew that if the underworld truly crossed the line set by the saint.

A world shaking battle would be unavoidable.

Azazel shook his head.

None of this had anything to do with him and he didn't want to get involved.
