Swordsmanship Coach: Kill with One Slash

Chapter 189 - 141: A Contest of Martial Artists

"Damn it! Goddamn it!!!"

’These wounds are too severe, way too severe. I don’t know if I can hold on until the Spirit Realm fully descends.’

Vice Bishop Jie leaned against a wall in a small alley, his body weak as he squatted on the ground. He clutched his chest, where a sharp, stabbing pain radiated faintly.

’That power...’

’Did the special organization have a master above Tier Five hidden here?’

The power that had destroyed the Array was so terrifying that a sliver of fear made him tremble. He sighed inwardly.

’I miscalculated after all.’

He had been so focused on the few Tier Five Sequencers and Li Yu, preventing them from ruining his plans, that he never expected something like this to happen.

Other than the special organization hiding an Extraordinary power above Tier Five, he couldn’t imagine—nor did he dare to—what else could possess such immense strength.

"Son of a bitch."

The thought made him curse aloud again.

He had originally thought this would be a simple mission. After all, he had a Magical Artifact from the Spirit Lord for support, and his objective wasn’t to wipe out the special organization, but merely to trap them within the Array.

He thought he had been on the verge of success.

He never expected to run into a situation like this.

Vice Bishop Jie shook his head hard, forcing the useless thoughts from his mind. ’No matter what,’ he thought, ’the priority now is to escape Cang City and recover from these injuries.’

Vice Bishop Jie quickly wound his way through one alley after another, rapidly leaving the urban area where the organization’s building was located.

Just then, the roar of an engine suddenly echoed through the streets.

A black-and-white police car drove past in the distance, startling him and drenching him in a cold sweat.

However, the police car didn’t seem to have spotted him in the alley. It drove right past, and only then did Vice Bishop Jie let out a long sigh of relief, murmuring softly:

"Thank god..."

"The special organization must have detected my presence. I need to hurry up and leave, or else..."

"Leave? And where do you think you’re going?"

An icy voice suddenly came from behind Vice Bishop Jie.

BAM!!!

A white longsword flashed out, instantly slashing into Vice Bishop Jie’s back and skewering him to the nearby wall.

BOOM!!!

A massive crash erupted!

A huge ring of cracks spiderwebbed across the wall. At its center, a head, pressed against the wall and slightly deformed by a palm, turned with great difficulty to ask:

"Who... who are you?"

The newcomer was none other than Su Xing, who had just left the building.

"So you’re the one who’s been stirring up all this trouble lately?"

Su Xing increased the pressure in his hand, and Vice Bishop Jie’s skull immediately let out a series of CRUNCHING sounds, as if he might die on the spot in the next second!

"Don’t! No, no! Spare me! I don’t want to die!"

Vice Bishop Jie screamed in agony.

"You’re Vice Bishop Jie?"

"Tell me."

"What was your plan?"

Su Xing’s voice was filled with an indescribable iciness. Just hearing him speak made Vice Bishop Jie’s body tremble involuntarily.

"I... I... I can’t say!"

Vice Bishop Jie’s voice trembled uncontrollably, but the moment the words left his mouth, Su Xing increased the pressure again. He could clearly feel his head was about to burst.

He could only beg again:

"I really can’t say! The Spirit Lord planted a Soul Gu in my soul! If I say anything, I’ll die instantly! You won’t get anything out of me!!!"

"A Soul Gu?"

"Sounds like the work of an Evil Cultivator."

Hearing Vice Bishop Jie’s words, Su Xing lessened the pressure in his hand slightly.

Before Vice Bishop Jie could answer, a slightly mocking voice suddenly came from behind Su Xing.

"Well, well, what have we here?"

A man in a long robe had appeared at the entrance to the alley at some unknown point. He looked at Su Xing and Vice Bishop Jie, a smile spreading across his face as he spoke:

"A Tier Five Sequencer."

"And a... Tier Four Martial Artist?"

"Although Martial Artists are said to be invincible at their own tier, fighting above one’s tier is still quite difficult. For a Tier Four Martial Artist to beat a Tier Five Sequencer into this state... truly incredible."

As his voice fell, Su Xing and Vice Bishop Jie turned their gazes to the newcomer almost simultaneously.

"Is he with you?"

Su Xing said, his tone hostile.

"N-No, he’s not! Definitely not! I’ve never seen him before! He’s definitely not one of us from the Spiritual Sect!"

The man stood leaning against the wall, his eyes fixed on the two of them, filled with a kind of desire and hunger.

This was especially true when he looked at Su Xing, his gaze like that of someone who had just discovered a priceless treasure, full of indescribable longing and greed.

’Not from the Spiritual Sect?’

’Could he be from the special organization?’

Su Xing wondered to himself.

But looking at the man before him, his behavior and demeanor didn’t seem like those of someone from the special organization at all.

Su Xing frowned and asked:

"Who are you?"

Silence followed his words.

Su Xing stared at the man, and the man stared back at Su Xing.

For some reason, Su Xing felt a strange pull from the man.

It was as if something was telling him...

...that to reach the pinnacle...

...he had to kill the person before him!

Why?

Why was he feeling this way?

Su Xing’s frown deepened. Seeing that the man had no intention of speaking, he continued to question him:

"A Martial Artist?"

"A Tier Five Martial Artist?"

It wasn’t that Su Xing had never seen a Martial Artist before. He had killed Martial Artists trained by the Spiritual Sect in the past, but they were like half-finished products. They looked like fierce, hungry wolves, but in reality, they were all little lambs, possessing no real killing power and posing no threat to him whatsoever.
