Swordsmanship Coach: Kill with One Slash

Chapter 178 - 136: Ten Thousand Swords Become One, Touching the Myriad Phenomena

"Sigh."

Su Yu sighed softly. ’I hope Big Bro can really keep a low profile,’ he thought.

But he knew that was impossible. On the surface, his big brother was cold and killed without batting an eye, but he actually cared deeply for the people around him.

If he or his brother’s apprentices ran into trouble, there was no way his big brother would just stand by. He would definitely step in and try to save his own.

This was what worried Su Yu the most.

He was terrified that he would become the one responsible for his brother’s death.

This feeling hadn’t been so strong before, because Su Xing’s power had completely surpassed his imagination.

It had made Su Yu feel that his big brother could handle anything with ease. He had grown somewhat dependent on him, believing that with a little effort, his brother could resolve any problem.

However, the situation was completely different now.

Now that the war with the Spiritual Sect had escalated to involve the Spirit Realm, the contest of high-end power had reached an incredibly high level.

Even his big brother probably wouldn’t last more than a couple of blows against those top-tier masters and could very well lose his life.

If Su Xing still acted the way he used to, he would likely run into an opponent he couldn’t beat, which would be extremely dangerous.

Just then, a clear, gentle female voice interrupted his thoughts.

Su Yu looked up in the direction of the voice. Shen Ruyun was walking out from the depths of the snow-covered wilderness.

She was wearing a pale white short-sleeved shirt and a pair of hot pants that were short enough to reach the tops of her thighs. The summery outfit was completely out of place with the surrounding environment, making her quite conspicuous.

"Yu, what are you doing out here thinking all by yourself?"

Shen Ruyun walked over to Su Yu’s side and tugged on his arm. Her gaze fell on the space between his brows, where several new wrinkles had formed, a stark contrast to his youthful face.

During the days Su Xing had been unconscious, Su Yu had spent so much time frowning that these wrinkles had appeared on his forehead without him realizing it. He now carried an air of solemnity.

"Nothing much."

Su Yu exhaled and said softly.

"Really nothing?"

Shen Ruyun glanced at Su Yu and said with a hint of resignation, "You don’t have to tell me. I know what you’re thinking about."

"How’s the situation now? Has your big brother woken up?"

"Such bad luck, for an ordinary person to get caught up in something so dangerous. It’s a good thing a mysterious expert secretly intervened and saved his life. A silver lining in a bad situation, I guess?"

"Yeah, he’s woken up. It was a close call, but he’s safe. He’ll probably need some time to recover from his injuries, though."

Su Yu nodded.

After experiencing something like this, he naturally had to report the situation to the special organization.

Since Shen Ruyun had also gone with them, he couldn’t claim that his brother, Lu Anning, Xiao Yu, and the others hadn’t been there, because Shen Ruyun had seen them with her own eyes.

Fortunately, Shen Ruyun had left early and didn’t know what happened afterward. This allowed Su Yu to weave a coherent story and successfully conceal his brother’s identity.

"Well, it’s good that he’s awake."

"Yu, you’ll be leaving soon, right? Do you want to come see the Spirit Realm anchor now?"

Shen Ruyun pointed toward the depths of the wilderness and spoke softly to Su Yu.

Hearing this, Su Yu paused, looking at Shen Ruyun in confusion. He asked,

"Hmm? The anchor base?"

"I heard from others that this place is extremely important and only the guardians can enter. Can I go in even if I’m not stationed here as a guardian?"

"Of course. This place is important, but with your reputation in the organization, it won’t hurt for you to take a look."

"Besides, I’m the guardian on duty for this rotation. Taking you in for a look is well within my authority."

"Come on, let’s go have a look. When you leave, I probably won’t be able to return to the Sword Hall with you. Tell your big brother I said hi and that I’m doing fine."

"...Alright."

Su Yu nodded and followed Shen Ruyun down a newly cleared path into the depths.

Along the way, they saw quite a few people standing guard. When they noticed someone else approaching, they all glanced over. Upon seeing it was Su Yu, no one said anything more and simply went back to their own tasks.

The path was surrounded by endless white. The vast expanse of snow was enough to make one’s eyes ache.

After a long while, Su Yu and Shen Ruyun finally reached the end of the white landscape. Ahead of them was a patch of distorted darkness. It was impossible to tell what it was made of; it was more like an ethereal void.

Su Yu had never seen anything like it, so he naturally couldn’t say what it was.

If Su Xing had been there, he would have immediately recognized that this darkness was incredibly similar to the black holes left behind when space was torn apart—or rather, that it was the very same thing.

Floating within this black hole was a purple object. It was round and would occasionally give a slight throb, looking just like a purple heart.

"Is that the Spirit Realm anchor?"

Su Yu asked casually as he gazed at the purple heart. Beside him, Shen Ruyun heard him and nodded in response.

"Yes."

"This is the anchor of the Spirit Realm."

"The people from the organization who handled this before said that if this anchor shows any change, it means the Spirit Realm is about to descend, and we are to report it to the organization immediately."

"As for the black hole next to it, the organization’s assessment is that it’s likely the void."

"The void?"

"What’s that?"

This was the first time Su Yu had heard this new term. He asked in confusion, but on the other side, Shen Ruyun simply shook her head.
