Reborn In A Cultivation World With All Cheat Abilities

Chapter 242: Promise Unkept

Jacob was not trying to tire out Jareth or anything of the sort; that was not his aim. His aim was as simple as it came. He merely wanted to see how powerful this young man could get.

Jareth had already closed the distance in less than a nanosecond, considering he was extremely fast. Most people in the crowd were only able to catch afterimages and flashes of the fight. Some could only see the ground being destroyed. Some could see the entire thing clearly.

Elyssara, the Weeping Goddess, sat in her seat, her eyes gleaming brightly as she watched Jacob. She could care less for the other individual, as it was already clear that he was weaker than the young man she was infatuated with. She rubbed her thighs together, and a soft gasp escaped her lips.

"You will be mine, Jacob~" she whispered to herself and almost giggled, realizing how giddy she was feeling. No human had made her feel this way in centuries.

...

Jacob, on the other hand, was having the time of his life as he continued evading every attack that was thrown at him. The stony slab that they stood on was now almost completely destroyed as Jareth kept going. But there was no end in sight, as Jareth also seemed to have infinite stamina, so Jacob knew that he had to end this battle soon enough.

Jareth was going nonstop, his attacks growing even stronger, but Jacob remained unfazed and unhit. Jacob knew that even if Jareth’s attacks were to somehow connect, it wouldn’t make much of a difference, considering he was immune to physical attacks, and from what he could tell, Jareth held no weapons whatsoever.

Jacob had finally decided that it was over. So, he decided to end the battle once and for all.

"Why won’t you just stay still, you pissy, arrogant wanker!" Jareth screamed, his muscles and veins expanding as he kept attacking, refusing to change his strategy, refusing to give up.

Jacob found it rather interesting how easy it was to rage-bait most fighters who possessed mostly physical prowess. Most of these people were airheads who believed that their physical strength was enough to deal with any problem.

As far as the young man could tell, his opponent, Jareth, could redirect any attack that he could see coming. Which was fine by him.

"First... I’ll take your breathing..." Jacob spoke casually, and in that second, the air around Jareth’s head seemingly stopped existing. Jacob had completely obliterated any oxygen molecules that surrounded Jareth’s body and created a barrier around the man that would not allow him to breathe.

Jareth stepped back. He had neglected to breathe in as he was expending a lot of energy. Instead, he had been taking short inhales and longer exhales. He stepped back a few paces and wrapped his hands around his neck.

GASP!GASP!

The young man squealed like a hog as his eyes started to bulge, and his corneas became even redder while he gasped for air. He began to hit his chest violently, pulled a couple of strands of hair from his scalp, causing him to bleed profusely. Trails of blood covered his pale face as it slowly turned red. And just when he was about to fall flat on his face...

A slab of stone shot upward out of the ground and hit the young man square in the chin, sending him flying a few meters into the air. Behind him, a portal opened up. But this wasn’t the portal to move around in the tower. This was a portal constructed by Jacob himself as he employed the use of his Void affinity. He immediately created two clones who stood on both sides of him with their hands raised in the air.

Jareth’s jaw was completely crushed by the stone slab, and he was already missing more than a few teeth in his mouth from an attack that caused him to fly a few meters into the air.

Just directly above Jacob and his clones, the same black portal appeared, and Jareth fell horizontally out of it. The two clones on the side of Jacob caught him immediately and brought him down with insurmountable force, just not on the ground.

The clones slammed him down, spine first, on the outstretched knee of the main Jacob, causing Jareth’s back to crack in two. As a result of the man being unable to breathe, he couldn’t even scream.

Jareth merely let out a muffled growl, guttural in its own way, as he lay on the floor, spine cracked, broken jaw, and bloodshot eyes, unable to even utter a single word to Jacob.

Jacob squatted beside him as he looked down at him in disdain. "Next time, do not make promises you cannot fulfill. You’re lucky I did not kill you instead."

Jareth lay there, his hands curled, face battered and twitching helplessly as his back was completely destroyed. In his entire life, there had not been one person who had completely dominated him in a fight like this from start to finish.

The battle was over. Jacob had won.

Elyssara sat in her own filth as she had completely soiled the seat in her wetness. She was definitely a mentally unstable entity, and it was things like this that brought her great pleasure. Her face was certainly flushed with insatiable pleasure as she watched Jacob exit the arena. She would surely be in the next one, watching him.

Uga joined Jacob, a lack of emotional expression on its face as it followed the young man simply out of duty.

"Ready to ascend to the next floor, Jacob?"

"Uga, you keep asking me these questions. You know I was born ready. Don’t make me complain to your boss about too many questions." Jacob joked and chuckled slightly.

But Uga was from a race that did not quite understand humor, so it was a joke for himself, rather than for the being who would not laugh at it.

The portal door opened once again, and Jacob and Uga crossed over into the next identical battle arena.
