Fang Xing turned toward the voice, his gaze sharpening as it fell upon a burly, middle-aged man.

Jiang Han gave a slight nod, then looked back at Nangong Qing. "Come, there’s something I need to ask you."

Nangong Qing nodded, then looked at Fang Xing and Shen Ye. "You two can mingle for now. Just don’t wander off."

The two nodded and watched them leave.

Shen Ye glanced around and spotted an empty table not far off. "Come on, let’s go sit over there."

Fang Xing followed Shen Ye, and the two of them found a spot in a pavilion to drink tea.

As he drank his tea, Fang Xing sized up the other guests.

Anyone who could attend the Commander’s birthday celebration was an extraordinary figure.

Aside from people from the Jiang Province Observatory, there was no shortage of attendees from the Martial Dao Upper Sects.

After taking a sip of tea, Baili Yanran looked at Fang Xing. "Fang Xing, your aura seems to have grown stronger. Did you have a breakthrough?"

Fang Xing nodded slightly. "A minor improvement."

Hearing this, Shen Ye rolled his eyes. "Bullshit. You’re already at the True Qi Third Layer, and you call that a ’minor improvement’?"
