DanMachi: Annihilation Maker in DanMachi World!

Chapter 109: A Massive Harvest of Authorities

More than ten days passed quickly. The residents of the Divine Court familiarized themselves with its functions and lifestyle, eagerly embracing their new lives.

During this time, many of them solved complex issues within the world, made new friends, teamed up to conquer randomized dungeons, and grinded levels in the Colosseum.

For Alfia, failing to level up before subjugating the Leviathan was a point of regret.

Although the Colosseum offered Origin Energy that she could absorb as experience points, the yield was simply too low.

Lucian, enjoying the combined experience shares from both the Zeus and Hera Familias, spent over a week pushing to the 70th floor just to reach Level 2.

While the monster density in the Colosseum was incredibly high, for someone who had already reached Level 8 like Alfia, simply patching up her foundational flaws had completely drained all her experience points and time.

Stat growth beyond Level 8 primarily relied on actual combat and spellcasting—forging oneself through the crucible of the Falna.

Even those with artillery-type magic couldn't secure a level up within half a month, let alone those without ultra-wide-range spells. They progressed even slower.

Up to this point, Ais had only been power-leveled to Level 2 by Alfia. It would take her at least another twenty days to reach Level 3.

Should I give Ais some special training?

Lucian pondered to himself.

With a Seed of Authority, her growth speed would skyrocket.

But he decided against it. Ais wasn't as frantic and desperate as she had been at the very beginning.

The Demigod system was still incomplete. If possible, he wanted to fully finalize it before opening it up to Ais once she naturally hit Level 10.

With a mere thought, Lucian teleported directly to the 70th floor.

The two great Familias had already located the passage down to the 73rd floor. Even with the Empress utilizing the map function, it had taken them this long to map out a proper, safe expedition route.

It was easy to imagine that in the original timeline, the Zeus and Hera Familias didn't plunge ahead because they wanted to rush without accumulating more power; it was because they couldn't accumulate any more power.

Their logistics couldn't keep up, their Dungeon progression had stagnated, and their two main executives were terminally ill. They had no choice but to bet everything on a desperate gamble.

If it had been a "normal" Black Dragon from a thousand years ago, they might have actually succeeded.

Unfortunately, "normal" was an impossibility because neither Familia possessed the heroes the world desired.

Among the statues of heroes erected in Orario, there was still one missing—the monument for the "Last Hero."

Forget about the Will of the World or Destiny; even the people themselves were holding out for a new savior. Before the fight had even begun, the stage was already set for them to step aside for this "Last Hero."

"Darling~"

Spotting Lucian, the Empress completely ignored the crowd, lunged forward, and buried herself into his chest.

"Why do you feel like a little puppy? You're being awfully clingy."

Lucian didn't resist. He waited until her initial burst of excitement faded before gently peeling himself away to tease her.

Hearing his words, the expressions of everyone around them turned rather complicated.

Generally speaking, being the target of the Empress's affections wasn't considered a good thing. Given the sheer power disparity and her nature as a battle-crazed amazon, any slight disagreement would likely result in an iron fist to the face. You'd be beaten half to death.

However, Lucian didn't seem to have that concern. And just as he described, the Empress truly acted like a needy little puppy around him—a stark contrast to her usual terrifying demeanor.

"Woof."

The Empress beamed playfully. "Being your puppy isn't bad at all."

Watching her act like this, the crowd could only concede defeat. She had been thoroughly tamed.

"These are the keys."

Lucian materialized several omnipotent magic keys in the shape of red orbs, handing them out to everyone present.

"Get ready. We're teleporting straight to the entrance of Knossos."

Seeing that everyone wore calm, prepared expressions, Lucian snapped his fingers, triggering a mass teleportation.

In a flash of light, they vanished from the 70th floor and reappeared directly in the 18th floor's safe zone.

"Is this... the easternmost part of the 18th floor?"

Glancing at the ceiling, the Empress confirmed their direction before checking the highlighted area on the minimap.

Walking up to the wall, the Empress punched it.

With a deafening crash, the stone shattered, revealing a hidden corridor forged entirely of Orichalcum.

Knossos wasn't located inside the Dungeon; rather, it was built adjacent to it. The corridor hidden behind the shattered wall belonged to Knossos, but any further inside stepped beyond its bounds.

"They sure are filthy rich."

The Empress's eyes sparkled with greed.

"It is a thousand years of accumulated wealth, after all."

Lucian casually remarked, "But weapons forged from Orichalcum can no longer satisfy the demands of a Level 9 anyway, right?"

"That's true, but I'm just slightly amazed by the sheer scale of the wealth," the Empress nodded, quickly adding, "Still, it's nowhere near as satisfying as a Vassal Weapon."

In truth, that was exactly how they felt. Compared to the Divine Court, Knossos felt almost laughable.

It was like watching a family hoard pennies for a millennium, only to buy raw ore and build a pile of junk. It paled in comparison to something truly meaningful like the super-battleship Hringhorni.

"Make sure you don't casually show it off. My Goddess has always had a distaste for those kinds of weapons," Lucian warned.

Vassal Weapons were growth-type armaments—infinitely more convenient and powerful than Bell's Hestia Knife.

Furthermore, Vassal Weapons possessed their own weapon spirits, effectively rendering them equivalent to artificial Spirits.

Thankfully, only Lucian possessed the ability to manufacture them. Otherwise, why would anyone ever bother forging standard weapons again? How would metallurgy ever advance?

Speaking of which, under Lucian's persistent encouragement, Hephaestus had recently begun attempting to hand-craft magical microchips. He wasn't sure if she would ever share this revolutionary direction with the rest of the world... but knowing her, she likely wouldn't.

Compared to directly bestowing knowledge and techniques upon mortals, Gods of her caliber much preferred guiding them.

It was exactly like how Daedalus, the master artisan from a thousand years ago, designed Babel and Orario under Ouranos's subtle guidance, rather than the Gods designing it themselves.

And even if she did want to spread the knowledge, the only ones actually capable of hand-crafting a microchip were likely other Gods of Forging.

"I know."

The Empress puffed out her chest proudly. She was absolutely enamored with her Vassal Weapon—a weapon that perfectly complemented her overwhelming strength. "So, is it time for us to clear out Knossos?"

"Then—let's begin."

Lucian pressed the key against the massive doors. In the next moment, glowing circuits spread across the Orichalcum gates before they slowly creaked open.

As the group stepped into Knossos, Lucian immediately locked onto the Evil Gods lurking within.

"Reality Marble: Heaven's Prison!"

The Reality Marble expanded, dragging the Evil Gods into an alternate dimension.

Before they could even register what was happening, they were completely immobilized and suppressed.

Because the World Correction Force didn't detect any Gods returning to Heaven, the Falna blessings of their followers remained entirely unaffected.

Yet even so, facing the elite main forces of the world's two strongest Familias, the members of the Evils didn't have the slightest sliver of a chance to fight back.

"Storm, Death, Vengeance, Deceit, Sleep."

A dark tempest coalesced in Lucian's left hand—it was a Seed of Authority.

The Sea of Illusions was vastly different from what it used to be. The Authorities of these Evil Gods were analyzed and deconstructed by Lucian in a matter of moments, instantly integrating into the core framework of his Divine Avatar.

By siphoning off a fraction of that power, he forged a brand new Seed of Authority before immediately absorbing it into his body.

The concept of Omnipotence filled in another missing piece, and the sensation of growth was incredibly distinct this time.

Yet despite this progress, the ultimate end goal still felt impossibly far away to Lucian.

"All I can say is, it truly lives up to the concept of 'Omnipotence'."
