Perhaps because he chose Luck as his development ability, or maybe thanks to Hephaestus, Lucian felt thoroughly refreshed, and his luck was extraordinary.

The next day, just after adding the "Destiny Connection" function to the scanning feature of the World Teleportation Gate, he locked onto a different world.

By sending a magic beast through to explore and map the new world, Lucian gathered intelligence on what lay on the other side.

The Metal Vessels he had created were actually modeled after this very world's power system.

"Magi," Lucian said, deep in thought, quickly realizing something. Speaking of power systems, this world operates on the principle that life force equals magic power.

In the world of Magi, the great source of magic power was known as the Rukh, which also served as the fundamental unit comprising life and souls.

Both ordinary people and magicians possessed magic power. The fundamental difference between them lay in the application of magic.

Magicians could issue commands to the Rukh, converting magic power into other substances to achieve various supernatural phenomena.

Ordinary people could not command the Rukh. From this perspective, magicians were essentially a distinct race, and commanding the Rukh was akin to an innate racial talent.

Since ordinary people couldn't command the Rukh, their only method of utilizing supernatural power was by manipulating the magic power natively within their own bodies—a technique simply known as magic manipulation.

The Yambala tribe also referred to this magic power as "Ki," or the energy of life.

The essence of magic manipulation was controlling the body's physical life energy. This was highly similar to the spiritual power, or Mind, that originated from the soul in the Danmachi world; the two forces essentially represented the two halves of yin and yang.

If an adventurer with a sublimated physical body could acquire this system, their explosive power would likely surge by a massive margin.

Although it consumed one's life force, adventurers possessed incredibly strong vitality and regeneration. Not to mention, Lucian had the Spring of Life to replenish any lost longevity.

As for the way magicians commanded the Rukh to cast magic, it was essentially using one's own internal magic power to draw upon the ambient great source of magic. Fundamentally, they were more like spirit-arts users.

Lucian's rituals fundamentally utilized the great source of magic anyway, and the Rukh system relied far too heavily on the surrounding environment. Therefore, Lucian wasn't particularly interested in the magician system of the Magi world.

What truly mattered was the core magic power of the Magi world. Lucian was incredibly curious to see what would happen if the positive life force and the negative spiritual power—the two separate power systems—were combined.

As long as it didn't end up like Chakra from Naruto, he would be fine with it.

While Chakra wasn't exactly weak, it was somewhat disappointing... After all, Chakra was an energy spread by the Otsutsuki. Without an energy seed, it was incredibly difficult to cultivate that kind of high-level power.

I can analyze the people of the Magi world and then use my magic to replicate their system.

If he did that, Lucian would hold three distinct power systems in his hands.

The Falna system, the Magic Stone system, and the Rukh system.

Regarding the Magic Stone system, consuming a Magic Stone could achieve results similar to the bodily sublimation of the Falna. However, this path relied heavily on personal talent and bloodlines.

It would also manifest a Magic Stone energy core within the user's body, creating a glaring, fatal weak point.

Therefore, the Magic Stone system could only serve as a quick-fix path. For humans to successfully walk this road, they needed rule-breaking talent or impossibly high physical compatibility.

Lucian had even erased Balor's Magic Stone entirely, proving just how much he disliked the inherent flaws of that system.

On the other hand, the Falna system and the Rukh system perfectly complemented each other.

The physical life force of the body and the spiritual power of the soul seamlessly encompassed the five basic attributes, forming the two perfectly balanced sides of yin and yang.

Why not just merge the Rukh system entirely into the Falna system?

It was entirely possible that when the Gods first created the Falna, they were fully capable of including this exact function. They likely left it out deliberately to prevent adventurers from burning through their lifespans and dying early.

Magic power dictates spiritual power, or Mind. Endurance dictates life energy.

Lucian finalized the theory in his mind. But before taking any action—he needed to find the people whose destiny had linked with his.

It was precisely because there were people connected to him by destiny that Lucian was able to locate the Magi world in the first place.

In other words, Lucian's fate was already intertwined with certain individuals residing in the Magi world.

And since the Destiny Connection wouldn't link him to someone he despised or fundamentally disagreed with, he was currently filled with anticipation.

Just as he was about to set off, Hephaestus spoke up from beside him.

"I'll go with you. It's inevitable you'll run into danger on your own."

At this moment, Hephaestus radiated the profound allure of a Goddess, looking as tempting as a perfectly ripe fruit.

Even for a divine being, there was ultimately a distinct difference between an untouched maiden and a mature woman.

"Your fundamental existence is too high; you'd attract too much attention," Lucian shook his head. "There is a world observer in that realm whose true strength is unknown. Although a direct conflict is unlikely, we still need to minimize the risks."

"If I go alone, even if an accident happens, I can safely retreat back to the Divine Court."

The Magi world possessed a complex multidimensional structure, with parallel worlds expanding horizontally and higher-dimensional worlds stacked vertically.

Following Solomon's will, Ugo immigrated from Alma Torran to the new world, bringing the Rukh with him. He then constructed the Sacred Palace to efficiently circulate the world's energy.

Afterward, he willingly transformed into a Djinn, becoming the eternal gatekeeper of the Sacred Palace.

Because the Sacred Palace existed in a higher dimension completely devoid of the concept of time, the amount of time Ugo had experienced was... 10^63 years.

What did that actually mean in practice?

A '1' followed by 63 zeros, measured in years.

To be perfectly honest, even when reading internet forum posts before his transmigration that wanked Sinbad's power scaling up to the multiverse level, Lucian had never felt quite this speechless.

Compared to Ugo, the lifespan the Gods of the Danmachi world had experienced wasn't even a fraction of a fraction. Ugo was likely more than a bit insane by now, so playing it safe was definitely the right move.

As for Sinbad being scaled up to the multiverse level... that was also a complete misunderstanding of the lore.

The magic used to alter the hierarchy of Gods—as stated directly by Ugo in the original narrative—was simply a method to swap rankings.

It would be more accurate to say Ugo swapped his own ranking with Ill Ilah, rather than infinitely stacking layers of power upward.

It wasn't some impossible infinite spiral of ascension; it was a cosmic game of musical chairs.

Ugo's mind had been thrown into chaos by the magic David cast on him.

When Sinbad and David repeatedly cast the rank-swapping magic on each other, they were still fundamentally relying on the magic power supplied by the Sacred Palace.

If infinitely stacking ranks could effortlessly shatter dimensions and allow one to ascend to a higher world, they would have done so.

But later on, Ugo explicitly stated that he needed to gather all of Ill Ilah's magic power to break the dimensional barrier and reach the higher world. In other words, their personal capabilities had never once surpassed Ill Ilah.

"Alright, then you be careful," Hephaestus adjusted his collar. She then stood on her tiptoes, pressing a gentle kiss to his forehead. "This is a Goddess's blessing."

"Then I'll accept it with a heart full of gratitude," Lucian chuckled, activating the World Teleportation Gate.

In an instant, he transformed into a streak of light and vanished. Watching the spot where he disappeared, Hephaestus couldn't help but shake her head.

"I bet when he comes back this time, he'll bring a few more little girls with him."

She possessed partial authority over the Divine Court, so she naturally knew all about the new functions Lucian had installed into the portal.

However, Hephaestus didn't really mind anymore. Getting jealous over romantic rivals was neither her forte nor her personality.

(Author's Note: I've researched the Magi lore extensively. The primary issue is that the late-stage setting becomes convoluted, leading to rampant rumors. I ran myself ragged debunking the 'Sinbad infinite multiverse box' scaling. First, in Magi Chapter 324, Ugo specifically says it is "swapping ranks." In Chapter 351, David says he will "take back the throne of the master of the Sacred Palace from Sinbad." In Chapter 349, Ugo says activating the magic to connect dimensions requires consuming the entire magic power of a God. Also in 349, Arba states that Ugo "changed the God's ranking and demoted that lord," explicitly using the word "demoted," proving it is not infinite dimensional layering. Furthermore, Aladdin says they are "not challenging God, but separating from God to become independent." Meaning, everyone in the Magi world is a derivative of Ill Ilah.)
