The Billionaire's Revenge Wife

Chapter 70: I Want Her Back

"You told me about the offer he made you, and what did I say?" Mr. Wesley questioned, his fist clenching by his side. "I told you that Daemon Langford couldn’t be trusted. Do you really think he’s going to give us weapons without having an ulterior motive?"

Arianna took a breath before she responded. She feared if she didn’t take the situation under control, her father might actually pull out his gun and shoot Daemon at that spot, which was the last thing she needed at that moment.

"If Daemon wanted to hurt me, he would have done it a long time ago. He would have left me to die in the forest when Logan shot me." She paused, glancing up at Daemon who was waiting for her to continue. He stared down at her with the kind of expression that made it impossible to read what was going on in his mind. "And if he wanted to, he would have let the attacker Logan sent a few days ago to stab me. He even took the stab for me."

Cassian scoffed as if he’d just heard the lamest thing ever. "Don’t tell me you think he did that because he has feelings for you or anything?"

Arianna’s lips instantly set into a thin line.

Feelings? She didn’t think Daemon had feelings for her. They only met two months ago, back at the hospital. It was impossible to believe he loved her especially since he didn’t know anything about her.

Meanwhile, Daemon was silent.

What he felt for Arianna might be too far-fetched to say it was love he felt for her. But one thing was for sure, he would lay down his life for her if he needed to.

They’d already met a few years ago which she doesn’t remember anymore. That was the first time he laid eyes on her, and that was also when he claimed her even though she doesn’t know about it yet.

"He just wants to help us," she said. "Are we going to spend time discussing this when we can use the same time to plan how we can counter Sanchez’s attacks?"

However, her father wasn’t having it.

He walked towards Daemon, stood in front of him. Daemon towered over him with two inches so he had no choice but to look up at him.

"Call your father and get him here."
