Stolen Fate: Bound to Seven Alphas

Chapter 100: To seduce me

Blue. That was the first thing that hit me the second I stopped in the center of the room.

From the striking geometric wallpaper to the quilted bedding and the soft curtains framing the arched window—everything was drenched in rich, confident shades of blue.

Only the light wooden floor and ceiling broke the intense theme.

My eyes were immediately pulled to the massive, breathtaking mural of Jimi Hendrix dominating the far wall. He was painted in electric blues, mid-performance with his guitar. Below it, a glowing "Alpha" neon sign cast a soft light across the floor.

His bed was perfectly made but clearly lived-in, an acoustic guitar resting on the blue covers and a grey throw blanket tossed casually over one side.

Trophy shelves on the left displayed his collection of cups and medals, while a plush blue bean bag sat invitingly in the middle of the room.

To the right, the large walk-in wardrobe stood open, revealing neat rows of academy uniforms hanging inside, lit from within.

It was even better than Elyse’s old room. I guessed the privilege houses inside the dormitory were on another level compared to the ones the alphas occupied outside.

This was a perfect example.

"You didn’t answer my question," Kol murmured from behind me.

I shifted and turned to face him. He stood a few feet away, like he was afraid to get any closer.

I flushed under the weight of his unreadable stare.

"Did you come here just to stare at me?" he frowned.

"..."

"This isn’t the end, Kol Scott James Archer!" Becca screamed before I could get any words out. The door slammed shut behind her, hard enough it sounded like it might rip off its hinges.

I winced, ears twitching at the sharp bang. Kol looked completely unbothered, as if he was used to everything she threw at him.

"I’m sorry for coming here unannounced," I whispered.

He said nothing, still watching me with that cautious stare.

I continued, eyes fixed on my feet. "I made you fight with your guest and—"

"My sister would survive," he cut me off. "This isn’t the first time she’s threatened to kill me."

"Your sister?" I asked, genuinely surprised.

He narrowed his eyes. "Who did you think she was?"

I let out a relieved sigh, laughing softly. "No one. I must have mistaken her for someone else."

For a nasty slut. I was glad I hadn’t said it out loud. I doubted Kol would’ve let me inside his room if I had.

An awkward silence settled between us. My gaze drifted to the Hendrix mural on the wall.

"I didn’t know you listened to him," I said, glancing at the guitar on the bed. "You play too."

Kol crossed to the bed and sat down, the mattress dipping under his weight. He picked up the guitar and plucked a few notes. I smiled, nodding at the warm, soft sound that filled the room.

I sank into the bean bag, crossing my left leg over my right. My original reason for coming here completely slipped my mind as I got comfortable in his presence.

"How do you know Hendrix?" he asked, his expression serious. "You don’t strike me as someone who plays guitar."

"I play a little," I said.

If that could even be called playing. It was once every five months or so, and I usually had to sneak around to do it. The Baker household had a whole array of instruments, thanks to my father and his local band.

"Do you want to play?" He extended the guitar toward me.

I blinked, already starting to shake my head, but he thrust the guitar into my hands. I stared at the heavy instrument, suddenly unsure where to even begin.

Maybe I should’ve just kept my mouth shut.

"I’m quite rusty," I said, trying to set it down. "It’s been a while since I—"

"I want to hear it," he said. "I don’t care how terrible it is."

I groaned. He already expected it to be bad without even hearing me play.

I had a thousand reasons not to do this, but I knew Kol would have a counter for every single one.

"Fine," I breathed, giving in. I narrowed my eyes at him. "And don’t you dare laugh at me."

The corner of his lips twitched, but he kept a straight face.

I thought of the simplest song I knew and decided on Stand by Me by Ben E. King. I hummed along softly until I reached the chorus.

"So darling, darling, stand by me..." Kol sang, his voice surprisingly smooth and melodious as it wrapped around mine.

We made it through one more verse and the chorus again before I stopped, cheeks warm.

"That’s it," I shrugged, holding the guitar out to him.

Our fingers brushed. Instead of taking it, his hand locked around my wrist, pulling me up from the bean bag. I stumbled forward and landed against him on the bed.

I fell onto his chest with a gasp, eyes wide as I tried to keep the guitar from smashing into him.

Kol’s arms locked around my waist, holding me firmly in place. My pulse hammered in my throat as I felt the hard bulge between his legs pressing against my thigh.

I planted my hands on his chest to push away, but his grip only tightened.

"What are you doing?" I glowered.

"Aren’t you here to seduce me?" he rasped.

Shit. He knew?

Was I really that easy to read?

"Why would I do that?" I denied.

"Really?" he murmured. His dark gaze drifted slowly from my face down to my chest. I glanced down and felt heat flood my cheeks.

Yeah, my breasts had nearly spilled out of my bra. The stupid shirt wasn’t doing me any favors either.

"The clothes," he said, suddenly flipping me over like he knew I was getting uncomfortable. He straddled me, pinning me beneath him. "I’ve never seen you doll up like this unless you’re on a mission."

"W-what mission?" I stammered.

"To get fucked," he said simply.

Fuck no.

I’d only worn this to make him accept my apology.

Kol’s hand slid to the back of my head, his face lowering toward mine. I sucked in a sharp breath, fingers curling tight into the muscle of his chest.

I had every chance to shove him away. But I didn’t. I knew he was coming in for a kiss.

Like a starving idiot, I closed my eyes and parted my lips, waiting.

"Kol, baby..." a feminine voice called.

My eyes flew open. Over his shoulder, an elegant woman stood frozen in the doorway, jaw dropped, purse slipping from her fingers and hitting the floor.

"Shit—I should have knocked!" she exclaimed.
