"Alright, I'll stay right here. I won't take another step forward." Zhao Yuan stopped, just as he said he would.

Xiaochengcheng breathed a sigh of relief.

His keen intuition told him that the man before him was not like ordinary people. An aura emanated from him, one that felt dangerous and unsettling. He wanted to get away from Zhao Yuan—the farther, the better.

Xiaochengcheng wanted to back away, but he was already cowering in the corner. There was nowhere left to retreat.

Zhao Yuan chuckled in spite of himself and shook his head. "Don't be nervous. I don't mean you any harm. I just want to discuss something with you."

"What is it?" Xiaochengcheng asked.

Zhao Yuan's smile vanished, his expression turning serious. "Leave your mother's body. What you're doing..."

Before he could finish his sentence, Liu Lili's expression twisted into a ferocious mask. Two completely different voices, saying entirely different things, erupted from her mouth simultaneously.

"Don't even think about it! I'm never leaving Mom!"

"You monster! Don't even think of taking my son from me!"

It was the unified roar of Liu Lili and Xiaochengcheng!

The woman and the Ghost, both enraged by Zhao Yuan's words, were the cause of this bizarre scene of two voices speaking at once!

POP! POP! POP!

Liu Lili and Xiaochengcheng's voices were so shrill they were not only ear-piercing but actually caused the lightbulbs in the examination room to burst. Since the lights hadn't been on, the shattering glass had little effect, though it did make Chen Kaihua jump.

"H-How can this be?"

Chen Kaihua clamped his hand tightly over his mouth. If he hadn't been clinging to Zhao Yuan's earlier warning, he would have screamed out loud. Even so, the shock and terror in his heart didn't diminish one bit.

'How can my wife be making two different voices at the same time? And how are they saying two completely different things?!'

'Is this really schizophrenia? Two personalities emerging at once? Or… is a Ghost Soul possessing my wife's body?'

Chen Kaihua felt like his brain had turned to mush, completely incapable of forming a coherent thought.

Just then, Liu Lili and Xiaochengcheng, utterly enraged by Zhao Yuan's single sentence, took simultaneous control of their shared body. They lunged at Zhao Yuan with a bizarre, uncoordinated gait, the two voices still roaring from within their mouth:

"Unforgivable! I'm going to teach you a lesson!"

"You're a mean big brother! I'm gonna hit you!"

A hospital bed stood in their path, blocking the body's advance. With a single shove, the heavy bed went flying to the side as if it were made of paper-mâché, crashing against the wall with a loud BOOM.

In that same instant, the body was upon Zhao Yuan.

"Look out!" Chen Kaihua snatched his hand away from his mouth, shouting a warning.

"Shut up!" The body's head whipped around, unleashing a two-voiced roar at him.

Chen Kaihua immediately felt an invisible force clamp around his throat, preventing him from making a sound or even breathing.

His eyes bulged, his face a mask of pure terror. In his mind, he kept asking the same question over and over: 'What in the world is happening?'

Chen Kaihua was only an ordinary man, so of course he couldn't see it. The moment Liu Lili and Xiaochengcheng had roared in unison, a chain had shot out from Xiaochengcheng's spectral form and wrapped around his neck.

Liu Lili and Xiaochengcheng had completely lost control, going berserk. That was why they had even attacked Chen Kaihua.

Faced with this series of sudden, shocking turns, Zhao Yuan remained perfectly calm.

He first called out to Zeng Rui, "Elder Zeng, lend me a hand! Save this man!"

Zeng Rui nodded. She floated swiftly to Chen Kaihua's side, reached out, grabbed the chain that had come from Xiaochengcheng, and with a powerful yank, snapped it in two.

At that moment, Zhao Yuan's voice reached his ears. "I told you not to scream, no matter what you saw or heard."

He quickly looked up and saw that, far from being hurt by Liu Lili, Zhao Yuan had pinned her against the wall with a single hand. No matter how much she struggled and kicked, he didn't budge, as if her strength was negligible.

But Chen Kaihua knew that when his wife had one of her episodes, her strength was immense when she attacked people or destroyed things. An ordinary man couldn't even take a single blow. It was incredible that Zhao Yuan was just shrugging off her continuous kicks.

'Has he practiced the Golden Bell Shield and Iron Cloth Shirt?' The thought flashed through Chen Kaihua's mind.

While pinning Liu Lili with his left hand, Zhao Yuan's right hand quickly retrieved several Golden Needles from his Storage Ring Space. He then inserted them into several acupoints on her head and face, including her Baihui Acupoint and temples.

As he applied the needles, Liu Lili quickly calmed down and fell into a deep sleep. Xiaochengcheng, however, was unaffected. He continued to control Liu Lili's body, making it struggle and roar.

But now, he could only control half of Liu Lili's body. The result was a bizarre sight: Liu Lili's right eye was closed, and her right arm and leg hung limp, while her left eye was wide open and glaring, her left arm and leg flailing wildly.

The sight of a single body split in two was beyond bizarre and grotesque.

Seeing this, and recalling his own recent ordeal, Chen Kaihua couldn't help but ask in a trembling voice, "Dr. Zhao, what in the world is going on?"

Since he would need Chen Kaihua's help, Zhao Yuan decided not to hide the truth. He told him plainly, "There is another soul inside your wife's body."

"What?" Chen Kaihua cried out. A part of him wanted to refuse to believe it, but the bizarre and outlandish things he had just witnessed left him no choice. After a moment's hesitation, he asked, "Then... who is the soul inside my wife?"

"Your son," Zhao Yuan replied.

"What? Xiaochengcheng?" Chen Kaihua couldn't believe it. "Why would he want to harm his own mother? Is he... getting some kind of revenge?"

Zhao Yuan shook his head and explained, "No, you've misunderstood. Xiaochengcheng doesn't want revenge, nor does he mean to harm either you or Liu Lili. Based on my observations and deductions, it's very likely he's in her body because Liu Lili herself invited him to stay."

Just then, Xiaochengcheng's voice rang out again. "That's right! Mom said she wanted to be with me forever! She wanted me to keep living! You're a bad man! Don't even think about making me leave my mom!"
