Chapter 105: A ticking time bomb
Elena looked surprised and glanced at Cecilia with a questioning gaze.
As Emma ran toward her, Cecilia reached out and picked her up. She had no intention of hiding anything from Elena.
"It’s Emma’s dad. I’ve found him."
Elena couldn’t help but feel a wave of concern in her heart.
She had only heard bits about Cecilia’s pregnancy before marriage without knowing who the child’s father was. But out of consideration not to upset Cecilia, she never asked for details and only assumed the man was an irresponsible jerk. But now, why has he appeared again?
Could Cecilia have been deceived again?
"Cecilia, can you trust that person? After all, he hasn’t appeared for so many years..."
Cecilia thought for a moment. Although she wasn’t sure why Steven harbored such deep hatred toward Emma’s mother, which was herself, he was still reliable in other aspects.
"It’s okay. I know what I’m doing."
After saying this, she glanced at her watch and continued.
"Aunt, it’s almost time. I need to take Emma and go."
