Emma had absolutely no time to pay attention to these messages. Before she even knew it, she had successfully been registered.
An hour later, Cecilia saw Emma still playing on her phone without resting and gave her a final ultimatum.

Emma realized the seriousness of her situation at the moment, quickly saying to Thomas, [Grandpa, I’m done playing for today. I have school tomorrow.]
Thomas replied with [Alright] before logging out of the game.
He lay on the bed, feeling much more spirited than before he started playing the chess game.
Even the falling leaves outside the window seemed less desolate.
He couldn’t help but fantasize that if he could keep playing chess with Emma and hear her call him "Grandpa," he might be able to live a little longer.
On the other side, Emma climbed into bed and quickly dozed off. Watching her sleep, Cecilia smiled.
