Chapter 2: Transmigration
Before Edward could spread his seed in tissue, his body fell onto the floor and darkness swallowed his vision.
Under the scorching sun, in the middle of the courtyard of House Argrave, a mere baron on the western wasteland.
The dry mud had hardened like stone. The air shimmered with heat, dust rising with each brittle gust of wind.
A frail boy lay supine, motionless. His limbs were spread across the cracked earth.
His chest barely moved. But then his eyes twitched.
With a sudden gasp, the lifeless body came alive.
"Aghh!"
"Aghh—!"
Edward jerked upward, squinting at the sun that bore down on him like a merciless god.
"What the hell?! Why is the sun trying to kill me?!" he yelled, covering his eyes with a shaky hand.
It felt like he was trapped in some bad fever dream.
