The Soul Contracting Gu Mother had perfectly met Zhong Yi’s expectations!

When the Soul Contracting Gu Mother evolved into the Soul-Catching Gu Mother, it advanced to Silver Quality and obtained an Exclusive Trait called Insect’s Gift.

This Exclusive Trait, Insect’s Gift, influenced the souls of Creators controlled by the Gu Mother’s Insect Eggs. The Special Insect Protein gave them a chance to concoct Potions that surpassed their own Tier.

After coming under Zhong Yi’s command, Tao En was implanted with one of the Soul-Catching Gu Mother’s Insect Eggs.

Zhong Yi had once considered using the Exclusive Trait, Insect’s Gift, to have Tao En—once he was restored to his Peak state—go to the Craftsmen Association and concoct a Fire Dragon Potion. This Potion was the symbol of reaching the Six-finger Creator threshold.

Since Tao En had successfully concocted a Fire Dragon Potion in the past, the chances of him doing so again with the aid of Insect’s Gift were extremely high.

In the end, however, Zhong Yi abandoned this idea.

For one, even if Insect’s Gift helped Tao En concoct a Fire Dragon Potion, it wouldn’t mean he had truly become a Six-finger Creator.

If Tao En solidified his status as a Six-finger Creator, people would inevitably seek him out to request custom Sixth Level Potions.

Zhong Yi couldn’t very well admit that Tao En had cheated the system.

But now, the Soul-Catching Gu Mother had evolved into the Soul Nourishing Gu Mother. With Insect Soul Nourishing Spirit, the Exclusive Trait it gained upon reaching Gold Quality, Tao En—who was already on the cusp of becoming a Six-finger Creator—truly had a chance to become one in a very short time.

Tao En was controlled by a Sub-Worm produced by the Soul-Catching Gu Mother, which meant he met the conditions for using the Exclusive Trait, Insect Soul Nourishment.

The Soul Nourishing Gu Mother could separate its own Insect Soul to nourish Tao En’s soul, directly improving his soul’s sensitivity and his control over it.

Soul sensitivity and control over one’s soul are the two most critical criteria for measuring a Creator’s strength.

Although Insect Soul Nourishment was only effective the first time it was used on any given creature, that one time was enough!

Using this Exclusive Trait, Insect Soul Nourishment, on a Creator who had nearly reached their limit was equivalent to forcefully raising them by an entire Major Tier.

If a Four-finger Peak Creator like Zhao Kai had his soul strengthened by the Soul Nourishing Gu Mother’s Exclusive Trait, Insect Soul Nourishment, he would quickly be able to break through his bottleneck and become a Five-finger Creator.

If the outside world were to learn of the Soul Nourishing Gu Mother’s Exclusive Trait, Insect Soul Nourishment, it would cause an unimaginable uproar.

The entire Creator community would go into a frenzy!

To this day, the Xin Xia Federation had only six Six-finger Creators.

The gap between a Five-finger Peak Creator and a Six-finger Creator was a chasm nearly impossible to cross, and dozens of Five-finger Peak Creators were stuck on the wrong side of it.

The Soul Nourishing Gu Mother’s Exclusive Trait, Insect Soul Nourishment, was the perfect opportunity for these Five-finger Peak Creators to cross that threshold.

Separating its Insect Soul to nourish other Creatures took a great toll on the Soul Nourishing Gu Mother.

Zhong Yi wouldn’t have the Soul Nourishing Gu Mother use this Ability lightly, unless it was for a Creator under his command.

As for Parasite Control Base, the Skill the Soul Nourishing Gu Mother gained upon reaching the Extraordinary Tier, it was yet another method of control over creatures infested by its Insect Eggs. It supplemented its Basic Skill, Soul-Stealing Soul Host, and its Exclusive Trait, Soul Imprisonment Breakdown.

With Parasite Control Base, when one of the Soul Nourishing Gu Mother’s Insect Eggs hatched inside a target’s Soul Base, the Sub-Worm would undergo a physical transformation.

It would separate a part of its insectoid body and embed it into the target’s genetic template.

If someone under Contract with the Soul Nourishing Gu Mother tried to betray Zhong Yi, even if they found a way to control the Sub-Worm in their Soul Base and managed to remove it, the part of the insectoid body embedded in their genetic template would activate immediately, causing the target’s genetic template to collapse.

Every life form is structured and evolves according to its genetic template.

Once that template collapses, the life form will rapidly mutate and die.

Zhong Yi was exceptionally pleased with the new Skills and Exclusive Traits his Soul Nourishing Gu Mother had acquired.

If the Soul-Catching Gu Mother’s evolution into the Soul Nourishing Gu Mother was an improvement to Zhong Yi’s underlying resources—allowing him to recruit more High Tier Creators and even raise their Tiers—

—then the Hundred-Eyed Moon Demon’s evolution was a delightful surprise in terms of sheer combat power!

Zhong Yi had been the one to select the materials for the Soul-Catching Gu Mother’s Bloodline advancement.

The Hundred-Eyed Moon Demon, however, had chosen its own.

When Zhong Yi was preparing to raise the Hundred-Eyed Moon Demon’s Tier and Quality, the demon itself told him it wanted to use Moon Eyes Bellflowers as nourishment to advance its Bloodline.

Large quantities of Moon Eyes Bellflowers were cultivated within the Ghost Suppression Bureau; they weren’t considered a particularly rare Demon Spirit Guardian Beast.

Deceit Holders were rare mainly because few Guardian Beast Masters possessed a Soul Talent and were also compatible with Demon Spirit Guardian Beasts.

It wasn’t because the Moon Eyes Bellflower itself was difficult to cultivate.

Zhong Yi found Lin Zhuo and made his request.

Upon learning that Zhong Yi needed a large number of Moon Eyes Bellflowers, Lin Zhuo provided a full hundred plants without asking a single question.

Zhong Yi placed the one hundred Moon Eyes Bellflowers, each in its own Jade Basin, around the room.

The Hundred-Eyed Moon Demon joyfully flitted around the Moon Eyes Bellflowers.

Before long, the Moon Eyes Bellflowers began to wither in quick succession.

After more than seventy of the Moon Eyes Bellflowers had withered, the sheer number of Moon Eyes Flowers condensed on the Hundred-Eyed Moon Demon’s body became overwhelming.

Eventually, the Moon Eyes Flowers merged, condensing into a single, enormous blossom right in the center of the demon’s skirt.

The blossom still resembled a Moon Eyes Bellflower, but the center of each petal was covered with a dense cluster of Moon Eyes.

The sight would instantly give goosebumps to anyone with trypophobia.

Suddenly, a new pair of wings sprouted from the Hundred-Eyed Moon Demon’s back.

The Hundred-Eyed Moon Demon was now a true, bona fide Six-winged Fairy!

Witnessing this transformation, Zhong Yi immediately used All Things Exploration to inspect the Hundred-Eyed Moon Demon, whose Bloodline had just advanced.

[Eyes Reflecting the Waning Moon]: When a target’s soul is open, this imprints their Soul Core into a Moon Eyes Bud. The pollen from the bud can be used to exert harsh control over the target. If the Moon Eyes Bud is shattered, the imprinted Soul Core within will likewise shatter and vanish like the reflection of a waning moon.

[Puppet Eye Demon Body]: Forms a demon body from condensed Moon Eyes Petals. This new body possesses only Basic Skills and can form a Contract with targets already controlled by the main body’s Basic Skills.

Exclusive Traits:

[Moon Gaze Lock]: Condenses multiple Moon Eyes to contest the target’s Soul Power. If the target’s Soul Power is lower, it can forcibly imprint the target’s Soul Core into a Moon Eyes Bud to control them.

[Heavy Eyes Replacement]: Sacrifice one Moon Eye to swap the positions of two designated Moon Eyes. If one of the swapped eyes is vacant and is located in the same area as a target with a controlled Soul Core, that target will be instantly absorbed into the vacant eye at the moment of the swap.

[Moon Eye Link]: All individuals controlled by the Moon Eyes become linked through their souls. The Soul Energy of every controlled target becomes equivalent to the main body’s own Soul Strength.

A quick inspection revealed to Zhong Yi that during its advancement to Gold Quality at the Extraordinary Tier, the Hundred-Eyed Moon Demon had evolved into the Thousand-Eyed Moon Demon.
