One of the most fundamental rules of mukbang is that you can’t use any organ other than your mouth to consume food.

Furthermore, all food prepared for the stream must be completely eaten to avoid waste.

This rule would make it inconvenient for Hong Ji to do a mukbang stream, since she couldn’t just manifest extra mouths anywhere on her body.

After dinner, Zhong Yi called Wen Tao and Xu Anjun outside the main residence, preparing to heal Wen Tao’s Order Beast, the Biluo Spring Dragon, and Xu Anjun’s Lifebound Guardian Beast, the Heavy Water Profound Turtle.

To break free from the spiderweb that had ensnared him, Zhong Yi had the Resurrection Celestial Lord consume four Cores of Resurgence.

To heal Qin Ruyue and the Night-Cutting Spider, Zhong Yi used a total of five Cores of Resurgence.

After healing Wen Tao’s Biluo Spring Dragon and Xu Anjun’s Heavy Water Profound Turtle, the Resurrection Celestial Lord’s Energy was completely depleted for the first time.

At its current Mortal Beast Level, the Resurrection Celestial Lord could use, at most, about fifteen Cores of Resurgence.

Wen Tao, having long been familiar with Zhong Yi’s Healing Ability, was unfazed.

But for Xu Anjun, it was the first time his Lifebound Guardian Beast, the Heavy Water Profound Turtle, was being healed by the Order Beast of a Celestial Destiny Seeker like Zhong Yi.

The Origin wound inflicted upon the Heavy Water Profound Turtle by the Power of Rules was healed so easily by Zhong Yi.

After all, Zhong Yi’s Order Beast and his own Heavy Water Profound Turtle were separated by three entire Major Tiers.

As Xu Anjun was marveling at this, he heard Zhong Yi ask,

"Brother Xu, Vice President Fu Hongning of the Zhenchong Commerce Association... I think his Guardian Beasts were also severely injured while protecting me."

"How is he?"

Zhong Yi had been inside the Guardian Beast Vehicle the whole time, and the carriage itself had been shielded by the Water Curtain created by the Heavy Water Profound Turtle.

It was only when Qin Ruyue dragged him from the carriage with her spiderweb that Zhong Yi saw Fu Hongning’s two grievously wounded scorpion Guardian Beasts collapsed on the ground.

When Xu Anjun heard Zhong Yi take the initiative to ask about Fu Hongning’s Guardian Beasts, he knew Zhong Yi had taken note of the favor Fu Hongning had shown him.

Xu Anjun had anticipated that Fu Hongning would recall his Guardian Beasts to protect Zhong Yi during the attack.

Fu Hongning was a very clever man; he understood that offering a lifeline in a crisis was a far better way to befriend a Celestial Destiny Seeker than adding to their glory in times of success.

It’s just that the price Fu Hongning paid to win Zhong Yi’s favor was far too steep!

The Melting Explosion Scorpion’s pincers and tail had been brutally ripped off, and the tail was connected to its primary spinal nerve.

Even though the Melting Explosion Scorpion was Fu Hongning’s Lifebound Guardian Beast and could be nurtured within his Soul Base, with injuries that severe, it would likely never be able to fight again.

The Blood-toothed Scorpion, by comparison, had few external injuries.

But its Scorpion Heart had been pierced. Even for a Mythical Tier Guardian Beast like the Blood-toothed Scorpion, it could only hold on for a few more days before dying.

Fu Hongning had essentially traded his own future to help Zhong Yi fend off two Mythical Tier Bizarre creatures.

’If Fu Hongning had succeeded in saving Zhong Yi, he would have been hailed a hero, no matter how light the injuries.’

Initially, Xu Anjun had thought Fu Hongning’s future as a Guardian Beast Master was ruined. But after witnessing Zhong Yi’s Healing Ability, he realized that the injuries to both Fu Hongning’s Lifebound Guardian Beast, the Melting Explosion Scorpion, and his other Contracted beast, the Blood-toothed Scorpion, could be healed.

’Zhong Yi’s Order Beast possessed the Ability to regenerate maimed flesh.’

’The bloody hole on my own Lifebound Guardian Beast, the Heavy Water Profound Turtle—a wound large enough for a grown man to crawl through, inflicted by that spider-like Bizarre creature—had completely healed in less than half an hour.’

’Even the residual Power of Rules left inside it had been completely purged.’

Xu Anjun relayed the situation to Zhong Yi exactly as it was.

After describing the state of Fu Hongning’s two Guardian Beasts, Xu Anjun added,

"I was the one who took Vice President Fu home. His two Guardian Beasts are grievously injured, yet he barely seemed to care about them. He was only worried about your safety."

"He asked me to let him know if you were safe once the dust settled."

"I’m planning to go see him in a little while. Lord Su Sheng, if you don’t mind, I’d like to inform him that you’re safe and sound."

Zhong Yi nodded upon hearing this. He was incredibly grateful to Fu Hongning.

’To save me, Fu Hongning paid the greatest price a Guardian Beast Master could possibly pay.’

’If the Resurrection Celestial Lord’s Energy hadn’t been depleted, making it impossible to perform another high-intensity healing on a Mythical Tier Guardian Beast, Zhong Yi would have gone to visit Fu Hongning and heal his beasts immediately.’
