The man, dressed in a purple-and-white uniform with two frost flowers embroidered on the collar, scanned his surroundings suspiciously for a moment.

He then began to communicate via his soul with a massive, translucent gecko that was crawling in a strange, prostrate posture in the empty space above his head.

One of the four Deceit Beast Masters in the Hidden Moon Division’s standard-issue uniforms spoke up.

Hearing this, the other man, a Mythical Tier Guardian Beast Master from the Ghost Suppression Bureau’s Frost Ash Division, shot the bald speaker a look.

"Duan Jian’s Lifebound Guardian Beast, the Sky Wave Gecko, has perception abilities that rank in the top five among all the Perception Type Guardian Beast Masters in the Frost Ash Division."

But standing in this corridor that Qin Ruyue had created with an Imperial Decree from her Emperor’s Tool, Shi Mi didn’t want to argue with her any further.

Qin Ruyue’s earlier threat to reveal his status as a traitor to the Purifying Moon Sect to the Starlight City officials had truly intimidated Shi Mi.

In a few more hours, the thing that Celestial Destiny Seeker had driven into the Night-Cutting Spider’s body—the thing that had been constantly multiplying—would surge out.
