Chapter 508: Wait A Minute (II)
"Enough, Big Brother. Why are you always so quick to resort to violence? Hitting people is against the law; surely you do know that?" Han Ruochen had a headache when she heard Han Yong’s words. What did he mean by saying he wanted to kill Yang Jianming?
He was already in his mid-thirties, yet he still did not have any sense of propriety. He didn’t even know how to control his anger and was too impulsive. No wonder it was so easy for Xu Yuanshu to make a fool out of him. He used his head only when it was related to work.
"How can I not be angry? That man has already ruined Han Ziyan. Though I don’t feel sorry for her, this was something that was expected to happen since the day she got involved with that man, but how can he get involved with you? This is something that I will never accept. How dare he even try getting close to you now that he has done something so disgusting?" Han Yong did not back down. He did not think that there was anything wrong with what he said.
Yang Jianming was too disgusting, and he deserved to be hit hard.
"Though Big Brother is indeed impulsive, what he said was not wrong. Your expression is just too ugly, and we cannot help but worry. Did something happen between you and Yang Jianming?" Han Xuehan chimed in from the side.
Realising that she could not get rid of her two older siblings and their nagging questions, Han Ruochen sighed, "It’s nothing. I just bumped into Yang Jianming, and he said some disgusting thing, and I was disgusted."
"What? What did he say?" Han Yong immediately asked. He looked like if Han Ruochen did not reply to him right away, Han Yong would go looking for Yang Jianming and find the answer himself.
Han Ruochen looked at the expression of her elder brother and hesitated. It seemed like he was going to get an answer no matter what. She sighed and told Han Yong and Han Xuehan what happened. "And then he asked me to get together with him."
This was something that Han Yong and Han Xuehan had not expected. The two of them thought that the man had come looking for Han Ruochen because he wanted to show off in front of her; they never thought that he wanted to reconcile.
However, the surprise lasted for only a few seconds. Han Yong snorted, "What is there to be surprised about this? I knew that he was going to regret it very soon. Who asked him to look down on such a good woman like you? I just never thought that he would regret it so soon." Han Yong was not surprised by Yang Jianming’s regret; he was just surprised that the man was regretting everything so soon.
How long had it been since Yang Jianming got engaged to Han Ziyan?
"Han Ziyan, that girl has never been someone who can go through any kind of suffering. If Yang Jianming were still the same as before, she might have lived a good life with him, but now that Yang Jianming has lost everything, why would she even want him anymore?" Han Xuehan rolled her eyes when she thought about how Yang Jianming had chosen Han Ziyan over Han Ruochen, only to regret it not long after the two of them were engaged. "Ruochen, I will talk to Dad and have him arrange some blind dates for you."
Han Ruochen was startled when she heard her sister say that she was going to talk to their father, and that too about arranging blind dates for her? Han Ruochen was simply terrified. She had no intention of marrying anyone just yet.
"Sister, why are you trying to ruin me?" Han Ruochen asked with a tone that was filled with grievance. "I have already had enough trouble. Where will I get the time to marry someone? Does our family even have any money to set up a dowry for me?" Han Ruochen could not help but remind her sister of their poor conditions. Though she had enough money, Han Ruochen was not going to disclose it.
Even more so now.
Han Xuehan pursed her lips helplessly. "I just wanted Yang Jianmig to stop bothering you. If you were engaged to someone else, he would stop coming to look for you."
"Hah! Why would I push my sister into another pit to save her from another pit?" Han Yong rolled his eyes and stated. "Who can guarantee that the next man will be any good?"
"Exactly." Han Ruochen nodded and then looked at the time on the wall clock. She realised that she was late and said to Han Xuehan. "Sister, I will leave the matter of brother’s release from the hospital. I have something else to do, so I cannot deal with the paperwork. Can you do it for me?"
She would have stayed behind, but she promised Zhai Muchen that she would go with him.
Han Xuehan wanted to say that she couldn’t do such a thing. She had never done it before. But then she saw how tired Han Ruochen looked and, from her anxious expression, it was clear that she indeed needed to go somewhere. Seeing this, she could only purse her lips and nod. "Alright."
Han Ruochen heaved a sigh of relief.
Once she dealt with her family matters, she came out of the hospital to wait for Zhai Muchen. However, as soon as she stepped out, she ran into Yang Jianming again.

Why was she running into him again and again?
Yang Jianming was holding a bag in his hands; it seemed like he had bought some canned fruit.
Han Ruochen wanted to wait right in front of the hospital, but it seemed pointless. She turned to walk away; seeing this, Yang Jianming hurriedly chased after her. He had been waiting for her outside because he wanted to tell her something. But Han Ruochen was fast. He only managed to catch her when she was about to enter the parking lot.
"Han Ruochen, wait!" Yang Jianming rushed forward anxiously. But Han Ruochen didn’t even turn her head; instead, she increased her pace.
Yang Jianming took a step forward and grabbed Han Ruochen’s wrist. "Wait a minute, I have something to tell you."
