True Apocalypse Game

(Just got back from working overtime. Today is another big 4,000-word Chapter. I’ll sort out my thoughts as soon as possible in the next few days, hope everyone understands!)

Shen Feng couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow.

’The previous Evil Spirit Virus crisis was, in essence, a biohazard.’

He tapped the light screen, and a brief introduction to the "Biohazard World" immediately appeared.

"After the Evil Spirit Virus infected the globe, human civilization was destroyed in an instant. The Master of the Void descended, and the few remaining Immune survivors are eking out a meager existence in basements and Shelters. This world has been utterly destroyed..."

’It really is the Evil Spirit Virus!’

’It seems the name I came up with has also been recognized by the True Apocalypse Game system.’

’The world has been utterly destroyed?’

’Then why make me go in?’

Besides, if a powerful higher-dimensional being like the Master of the Void had already taken over that world, Shen Feng would have no chance of victory. His survival time after showing his face would basically be counted in seconds.

Shen Feng immediately asked:

"The Master of the Void is so powerful. How am I supposed to face it? Will there be corresponding weapons and equipment to increase my chances of survival?"

Having had a brief conversation with the entity behind the True Apocalypse Game before, Shen Feng now dared to try and secure some benefits for himself.

’Every little bit of benefit helps. After all, I can’t be expected to work for free.’

The blood-red giant eye icon of the True Apocalypse Game was still clear, exuding an irresistible eeriness. The wristband vibrated again, displaying a line of text:

"Player may choose to enter within two weeks. Entry will be mandatory after two weeks."

The entity hiding behind the game did not answer Shen Feng’s question.

’I’ve been ignored...’

Shen Feng pursed his lips. Just as he was about to say more, the wristband vibrated again:

"Due to the previous attack by the unnamable entity, the game system’s energy-matter transport function has been restricted. It cannot transport electronic devices and items (biomechanical devices are not included). Please prepare accordingly."

Then, the light on the wristband abruptly dimmed, as if it were afraid Shen Feng would ask another question it couldn’t answer, which would be too embarrassing.

Shen Feng’s expression turned grave. He tapped the wristband a few times, but gave up when there was absolutely no reaction.

He then looked up at the sky, and his previously confident heart sank in an instant.

’Nanomechanical Insects also count as electronic devices!’

Ivanovic slowly opened his eyes to find himself lying on a cold concrete floor. His limbs were bound tightly with thick ropes, and a dull ache emanated from all over his body.

His head especially felt as if a knife were being twisted inside; the pain was splitting.

He shook his head and forced his eyes wide open to get a clear look at his surroundings. Only then did the pain and dizziness finally subside a little.

Looking around, he saw he was in a dilapidated concrete room with a heavy, rust-spotted iron door and a small, fifty-centimeter square window.

In the corner of the room were piles of miscellaneous items like gasoline barrels and wooden racks.

’This looks like a warehouse.’

He himself was tied hand and foot to an iron rack.

He was wearing a tattered hospital gown stained with blood.

’Why am I here?’

’What happened?’

Ivanovic struggled to recall what had happened, vaguely remembering the massacre at Incirlik Air Base, and the B-61 tactical nuclear warhead.
