Chapter 306 - 119: Gathering in the Capital City (Part 3)
The dean stood before the fighter jet.
Chen Yu and Director Ji walked up to him.
Looking at Chen Yu with a serious expression, the dean said, "Once you’re in the Astral Realm, be extra careful. You can cooperate with others, but don’t let your guard down. Understand?"
Chen Yu nodded. "I understand. Don’t worry, Dean."
"Board the jet. I’ll be waiting for your good news." The dean didn’t say much more.
Chen Yu and Director Ji then stepped onto the silver fighter jet.
The cabin door closed automatically. The dean took a few steps back as the jet began to take off. With a WHOOSH and a blast from its powerful thrusters, it tore through the air and vanished.
The dean stood in place, watching the spot where the jet had disappeared for a moment before turning to leave.
He couldn’t predict what Chen Yu would do in the Astral Realm. As for the outcome, all he could do now was wait.
...
Yun Kong. The fighter jet sped onward, heading toward the Capital City.
Beside him, Director Ji looked at Chen Yu and handed him a gold-threaded pouch.
"This is Energy Secret Medicine. It can replenish your body’s functions. One vial can sustain you for several days. Take it with you."
Chen Yu glanced at the small, oral-solution-like vials in the pouch, nodded, and put them in his backpack.
This trip to the Astral Realm would be a long one; it would be a month before he could return.
This cosmic Abyss was different from ordinary ones. One could stay inside it for a very long time.
A month, or even longer, was no problem.
However, the passage would only remain open for one month.
"You’re representing the academy this time. Remember, don’t be too reckless when you encounter trouble. Of course, don’t embarrass us either. If anyone gets cocky and pushes their luck, you can do whatever you want, as long as you don’t kill them."
Director Ji said, looking at Chen Yu.
"..."
"Then what if I accidentally take out another student in there?" Chen Yu blinked, looking at Director Ji.
"If they die, they die. Just make sure you’re not seen by the wrong people. That would cause a lot of trouble," Director Ji said.
"I see..." Chen Yu nodded.
"You little brat, don’t go around targeting other students. Breaking the rules once in a while is one thing, but don’t go too far. Otherwise, the higher-ups will hold us accountable, understand?" Director Ji added, looking at Chen Yu.
"Understood. Just can’t kill too many of them," Chen Yu said.
"..."
Director Ji shot him a look and said, "That’s one way to put it. But could you at least be a little more subtle? Don’t be so damn obvious about it, okay?"
"Don’t worry. I prefer to be quiet about it," Chen Yu nodded.
Director Ji: →_→
——
An hour passed. Over East Asia, in the skies above the Capital City, a silver fighter jet broke through the clouds and descended.
It soon landed on a private tarmac in the Capital City’s Outer City.
The cabin door opened, and Chen Yu and Director Ji stepped out.
Chen Yu glanced around. This was his second time in the Capital City.
The last time he was here, it was for the academy’s tournament.
Now, on his second visit, nothing about the city had changed, but the changes within himself had been earth-shattering.
His gaze fell on a black sedan not far away, where a large man in a suit stood waiting.
"Let’s go," Director Ji said, walking toward the black sedan. Chen Yu followed close behind and they soon reached the car.
The man in the suit opened the door, and Chen Yu and Director Ji got in.
Then, the car started and drove off into the distance.
"Where are we going?" Chen Yu asked from the back seat, looking at Director Ji.
"To the inner city. The people from the other academies have already arrived. You’ll meet them, get familiar with one another. You might even be able to cooperate."
Director Ji explained.
Chen Yu nodded.
There were twelve academies across the globe, with each sending only one representative. That meant a total of twelve people.
This was a world-class clash.
Chen Yu wouldn’t refuse the chance to cooperate.
After all, the elite students from other worlds were not to be underestimated.
This was especially true for the elites from the Azure Sky World, who were hailed as the strongest among the nine realms.
Their resources and geniuses were all top-tier.
There had even been a monstrous prodigy who was able to fight a True God despite only having a Ninth-Level Cultivation.
...
An hour later, the car entered the inner city and arrived at a luxurious estate.
This was the gathering place for all the academy personnel.
Sitting in the car, Chen Yu looked at the scenery outside. The estate was massive, like a small castle.
The car drove on, finally stopping in the estate’s parking area.
The two of them then got out.
As he looked around, a detached building not far away caught his attention.
He could see many figures inside the building.
He probed with his Force Field. The auras of the people inside the detached building were all incredibly strong.
Their Life Fluctuations were nearly all around the ninth level.
And they all looked very young.
’Looks like these must be the people from the other academies...’
The thought flashed through Chen Yu’s mind.
The students who could go to the Stellar Battlefield were the elites of the elite.
Their strength was not to be underestimated.
"Chen Yu, you’re finally here!" A voice called out. Chen Yu turned to see a familiar figure.
The long-haired man in sunglasses!
"Sir, what are you doing here?"
Chen Yu was surprised to see him.
The long-haired man in sunglasses walked over. "What am I doing here? I’m the one responsible for escorting you to the Astral Realm, and I’ll be going with you."
Hearing this, Chen Yu understood.
"Come on, we were just waiting for you people from Jingzhou. Let’s go meet the others and make an impression," the long-haired man said.
Director Ji said nothing, simply following the long-haired man toward the detached building.
