EX-Grade Ability Card: Tower Ascension with My Absolute Restoration

Chapter 100: Holding on Through Sheer Will

’Fuck... this thing isn’t dead yet... I need to hold on for longer...’ now feeling more damaged than when he is fighting the Island Orca itself, Azrael complains in his mind as he tries his best to lift the monster off the ocean, all while waiting for the notification of the subjugation of this monster and the completion of the main quest, something that he is quite certain he won’t get unless he brings this massive monstrosity on the surface of the ocean.

While convincing himself to hold on through imagining just what sort of things and rewards he will get for completing the main quest of the second floor all alone, Azrael feels like doing things like this is even more draining than just repeatedly regenerating himself from the smallest parts of his body, something that he previously thought is the most mentally exhausting thing to do, given the pain of his body being destroyed, and the pain that comes with the recovery as well.

With his ears, nose, eyes and mouth oozing crimson blood as he gradually felt like the sunlight coming from the skies is getting brighter as he continues his ascend to the surface of the ocean, the young man feels a bit more comfort in enduring such a torturous way of completing the quest of the second floor, his body, starting to crumble apart from the sheer change in pressure threatening to tear his lungs into pieces, gradually regenerating as the effects of both his Absolute Regeneration and Immortal Energy kicks in.

Holding on for dear life, or rather, consciousness long enough, Azrael finally brought the monster out of the ocean, the massive body floating into the air casting a dark shadow in a large vicinity of the ocean, this shadow more than enough to make anyone unfamiliar with the nature of the tower’s monster scared for their dear life.

Not making the job easier for him as he still needs to maintain his intent’s grip on the heavy monster to prevent it from sinking into the bottom of the ocean once again, Azrael decided to endure the suffering literally hurting his brain and bleeding it making his orifices bloody as well, the half-conscious, half mushed-brained young man barely keeping enough rationale to see through the end of the second floor’s main quest.

"You’re quite the troublesome opponent, but that’s that..." looking at the paralyzed, possibly unconscious Island Orca, Azrael mutters with a victorious smile on his face, feeling quite accomplished as he didn’t use any stats improving skills in his arsenal, this feat giving him quite the confidence that he might really be able to subjugate the treasure guardian of the second floor way faster than the time he took to defeat the Fortress Golem in the first floor.

Barely willing the murderous aura he has to materialize on top of the Evil Fang Sword once again, Azrael changes the shape of the sword from a great sword used for cleaving to a massive kitchen knife, seemingly intent on using the weirdest of ways to deal with the opponents he has, the Evil Fang Sword not feeling degraded by such choice a single bit as it even starts letting out shrill noise as if it is excited to cut the Island Orca into parts in this form.

Keeping his motion swift despite the clouded mind, the young man swings his weapon masterfully, separating the bones of the monster from its very flesh, using his miraculous, possibly one of a kind sub ability, Immortal’s Blood Throne, as a way to drain the Island Orca of its blood, as well as harvesting the organs of the monster in no time at all, keeping in his spatial ring the ones that he thought should be useful and edible as well, along with the bones and flesh.
