Chapter 84: A Fight Between Monsters
"Tsk... what a troublesome little bastard..." in a vast open field somewhere, a young man of a tall stature, a heroic air and of a solid posture said with a hint of annoyance in his tone, the jet-black sword in his hand vibrating causing it to emit a shrill tone to express its agreement to its master, feeling annoyed dealing with their current opponent as well.
Letting out a loud roar as it creates distance between itself and the bipedal creature in front of it, a five-meter-tall monster of a feline figure, with its entire body being covered by white fur and black stripes like the White Tiger of the east that possesses divine nature, something apparent when one manages to notice the glowing, golden pupil this monster has.
With its towering size, it doesn’t really make sense for a human who isn’t even two-meter-tall standing on his two feet should call this thing little, however, in comparison to the horrors of the size that the same class of monster he previously encountered possesses, this White Tiger is truly not that big at all.
"Hahaha, this little kitty is fierce! Why don’t you go ahead and try using that fierceness for attacking huh!? Is trash talking all you can do!?" seeing the murderous gaze of the monster in front of him, this heroic figure said with a trace of mocking in his tone, certain that his words are something that this monster understands as from his other encounters with monsters of the same class, he can be sure that all of them are sentient and capable of conversation as well.
However much he tries to taunt this White Tiger though, it just continues to refuse to reply to his provocation, its silence kept except for when it roars whenever it creates distance between the two of them.
’I would’ve mistaken those for surrender if not for this little shit being the first one to attack me...’ this figure thought to himself as he recalls the moment this monster turns around as he observes it, immediately pouncing on his direction clearly trying to tear him to pieces.
’Of course, I won’t deny the fact that I also plan on attacking it as well, but damn It is annoying to have the ambush turn against me...’ he mused to himself as he takes a deep breath, pointing the end of his seemingly alive sword towards the White Tiger in front of him, his eyes locked on its figure revealing a murderous intent far powerful than any normal ascender on the same floor as him.
Feeling this, the monster couldn’t help but flinch for a moment as it felt immense terror from just the figure’s gaze, such terror causing it to create even more distance between itself and the bipedal creature as it recovers from being stunned, intending to capitalize on its ranged attacks and swift movements to win this fight.
