"I thought you’re really smart and sharp, but it seems like you’re still a bit naïve, boy..." shaking her head as she hears his answer, she said, not with a mocking but rather a reprimanding tone, as if telling him that he shouldn’t be like this in the future.
"I am not, Miss Qingyue, believe it or not..." the young man pointed in denial, the lady intending to refute his words if not for him continuing his statement.
"... Just count it as an investment and a binding pact between the two of us, Miss Qingyue, I mean, if you think about it, you having this technique will bring us in the same boat, so it’s an even more assurance for me, right?"
Hearing his words, the ethereal beauty couldn’t help but think that this reasoning made sense, after all, if one of them were to have a trouble because of them owning such an absurd technique, then there’s no way the other one would just sit by and allow others to learn this technique as well, a technique that would give them so much advantage especially when it reaches higher levels of mastery.
