EX-Grade Ability Card: Tower Ascension with My Absolute Restoration

Chapter 42: Limits

"Wait, how can he even move that fast?"

"Forget about his speed, he’s so nimble for his size as well!"

"Stop talking about him, try to search for him again! We don’t know if there are other factions who is aiming for his life!"

Somewhere even farther away from where the previously dispatched group was hiding, another group is current observing Azrael, this one starting to get panicky as they also lost vision of him all of a sudden, some of them even worrying that they might just be the next one to be murdered brutally by the young man.

"Still, that is really scary, dealing with more than a dozen fifth-floor ascenders in such a short amount of time" recalling the event that just unfolded, one among these ladies mentioned making the remaining ones agree with her words, acknowledging just how powerful this man is.

"Enough chattering, we already lost that man, beware of your surroundings, we never know when and where he might attack us..." interrupting the conversations between the other ladies, the one who seems to be the leader of this group said, her words authoritative enough to stop the already gossiping ladies, her reminders making them wary of their surroundings as they gradually start decreasing their movement speed in order to focus more on what is happening around them.

After almost an hour of feeling tense, recalling how easily the young man they are observing dealt with fellow fifth-floor ascenders from a different legia, these ladies finally let themselves relax as there’s not even a single threatening movement that they detected in their surroundings other than the ones that came from monsters.

"He’s really smart, to think he would leave us behind like this..." realizing that the young man has no intention of dealing with them in the first place, the leader of the group said as she shakes her head feeling defeated in a battle of wits she never knew she was competing against their target.

"Whatever, it’s not like we’re here to do something against him, the leader only mentioned to deal with other people that might find trouble with him, but seeing how easily he dealt with those from the Heavenly Sword Pavilion, I doubt he even needs our help in the first place" the one previously praising Azrael’s skills pointed out, her words earning the agreement of even their leader as she decided not to dwell too much on this matter anymore.

"Let’s return to the tenth floor and report everything that happened to the leader" she said with a stern voice, earning the nod of her members, their figures disappearing from the lush green forest, leaving nothing but specks of light that seem to disappear after a brief moment as well.

Meanwhile, the person they are previously trailing now arrives at his destination, a massive city specifically built for ascenders like them, the lively streets of the city filled with people bargaining for themselves to gain more benefits from the person they are trading with, with some of this bargains and trades even resulting to violence, something not really surprising given the obvious disparity between ascenders in this place.
